Curious if anybody has played here recently and/or played Mossy Oak since it was opened? I keep seeing the pictures and really need to get there at some point. Whether that be a THP Event or on my own.

Looks gorgeous!

Beautiful courses. Would be a fun trip to play those in the fall and combine it with a tailgate at an Ole Miss or Miss State game.

I talked to a friend that played Mossy Oak and said it was in his top 5 ever and he plays all over the country. Bold words but makes me want to play it even more.

No doubt! One of my best friends played at golf at Miss State and still travels back there often. I'm hitting him up for his opinion.

The thought of this makes me want a mint julep on a veranda!

I'm a sucker for a great golf course photo. Haven't played either track but the photos are :good:

Apparently Mossy Oak hosts State's practice facility for their golf team.

The pics look great!

I have not been to either, but I will make a note.

I played Mossy Oak in August with my dad and brother. It was our first time to play there and we will definitely be going back this year. I’m going to the State - LSU baseball series this spring and am thinking about trying to get a round in that Friday.

I'm fortunate to live about 70 miles from both courses. Mossy Oak is absolutely incredible. One of the best courses I've ever played in the states. Old Waverly is very very nice as well but has some houses on the course, but all are mansions and the course is incredible shape. It hosted a women's US Open back in the 1999.

Both are definitely worth a special trip/outing.

If you wanted to make a long weekend of it, Columbus, MS is about 2 hours from Birmingham. You could fly into Birmingham, play some of the RTJ courses in town and then go to Columbus. There's another popular spot in Mississippi called Dancing Rabbit that is 1 1/2 hours from Columbus. It's one of Spivey's favorite places. It's on an Indian Reservation so you get some cool culture added in plus some Casinos.

I played old waverly last spring and I would second the post above. It was super wet when I played, so wet mossy oak was closed. Was supposed to play one round at each, but played two at old waverly instead. Thinking of doing it again this year and maybe the conditions will be better so I can play mossy oak as well. I stayed at the lodge onsite and it was nice too.

Looks amazing!!!

I played both courses last year with some friends. Mossy Oak didn't do it for me, just nothing special and over priced paying for the Gil Hanse name. I enjoyed Old Waverly a ton more, mostly due to more memorable golf holes and more southern charm.

Some friends and I are playing both this Spring.

Probably my favorite course I've ever played. It's crazy how on an amazing course you can still remember almost every shot you hit.

One of my favorites too and would like to go back again sometime. I also really like Colonial as well and would put it up there. Old Waverly and the Ole Miss course were both excellent but a little below those in my opinion.

My rank of most want to play again would probably be Mossy Oak, Ole Miss, Old Waverly, Colonial, but if I recall you had a bit different experience of Colonial than the rest of us:ROFLMAO:

What can I say. I liked it and those greens! If not for a couple bad holes it would have been a pretty good round.

I did not get along with the elevated approach shots at Ole Miss near as well though. I'd like another crack at it. I will say though that the drive in that morning with the fog coming off the grass was beautiful though!
