I was curious as to the difference in the overall weights of both the D7 and Z 585. Last week on the par 5 15th hole I hit the D7, then after my playing partners hit there tee shots, I took the Z 585 driver and put a good swing on it and hit it. On the down swing, before impact, it felt like I was swinging a sledge hammer. So today I broke out the Golfsmith swing weight tool.

The overall weight of the Z 585 is 345 grams;

Swinging the D7 now at it's full length of 45.75". Took a while to sneak up on the full length but I'm used to it now and love it. First time I've played a driver over 44.5" length.

Dang... how light is that shaft in the D7? Normal heads weigh around 200g give or take 10g or so, grips are usually 35-50g... doesn't leave much for shaft weight. lol

46 gm reg shaft weight, 192 gm head weight and the grip is a Lamkin micro light.

Wow that's light. What's the swingweight difference between them?

Z 585 is D4 with the help of 2 strips of lead tape. Been using D4 with drivers for years. D7 is D2 swing weight, but with using the full 45.75" length, it feels good.
