needed a nice glass of Glenmorangie quinta ruban after that commute home.
 
I was introduced to a new drink last night.
The bartender freezes a big cube of ginger beer.
He puts that in the bottom of a glass and then pours your favorite bourbon over that and there you have it.
It's a version of a Kentucky Mule but without the lime juice. Tasty !

I'd lean toward the 1792 or Eagle Rare, but, I've never tried the Elmer T.

Antique is one of my favorites, but you can't go wrong with that list.

It's hard to find it here it's a steal if you can find it. $32 people buy it by the case here when it's available.

Elmer T sounds a lot like Weller 12 year old. I used to love that stuff, but haven't been able to find a bottle for over two years, now matter where I go, in whatever state.

Yea some of buffalo traces stuff seems to be in short supply. The wheated line wellers and pappy and elmer all are in short supply.

May have picked up some Jefferson's reserve Groth Reserve Cask Finish last night. Dangit hickerad.
 
Anybody try Redemption Straight Bourbon ? Fast becoming my go to for a daily glass. Not priced bad up in here in MA, 26.99. It is a Indiana product, but still really good.

Thoughts ?

I need to get me one of those. I tried those metallic cubes and they sucked.

I did get a bottle of Bookers for Christmas that I have been enjoying. Quite strong neat and my palate is not what it used to be for the stronger Bourbon.

I would get a few to keep around the house but the wife keeps yelling at me for buying liquor. Haha
