What did you shoot today?

We got smashed today. First nine holes, one of the guys on the other team had what had to have been his best golf ever show up. He was getting pops and dropped two natural birdies on us, and the other guy had one as well. I shot 39 and my dad shot 40 and we only came away with 3.5. The second nine holes, it was a a guy that we're told is a twelve, but shot a 37 after taking a bogey on our last hole. His high cap partner put him in our flight. Even playing at our best there was nothing we could have done against that, and we only managed 4 halves. They're the last seed, and lead the flight after day two by 6.5 points. Tomorrow we play the number one seed for second place.

Some days just aren't your days.

Redemption!

Today we played the last nine holes of my dad's member/guest, after a complete shelacking yesterday. We played the team that was in second place after day two, needing to beat them by 3.5 to move ourselves into second. After losing the first hole to a birdie, we won the next four. Ended up winning 7-3. Ended up with day one points total second place money, putting contest second place money and second place in flight shop credit. The Titleist deluxe cart bag I got as my gift was a nice touch, too. My dad picked a new Vokey SM6 wedge and a couple dozen balls as his gift.
 
First time out and only played 9 in 42 degree weather. I shot a 49 with one blow up hole that I took an 11 on. Yes, you are reading that right. 3 penalty strokes. My daughter shot a 44 from the green tees just 2 shots off her personal best. Not too bad for first round of the year.
 
86 but the conditions were wicked! Really don't feel bad about the score at all!
 
Shot an 84 on the simulator today, with 3 triples. Nice to get some swings in, just itching for spring.
 
Played the "short" tees at Cowboys today on a chilly/windy morning (6200 yards).

3 doubles on the back killed what could've been a good 18. 1 birdie...

Cold windy day, 42/40=82 2 doubles kept me from getting to 80. :banghead: Solid round for me and felt good about it. Maybe tomorrow will be the day, but I will break 80. But on a better note, the HC is going in the correct direction!!! :clapp:
 
49/44 = 93. I suck.

Driver and hybos were solid and irons were overall decent, but the short game was atrocious, with the sand play in particular being shameful to the point of self consciousness. I literally would have shot 88 or 89 if I could hit a half decent sand shot. I need a sand lesson.

Otherwise, I got some really bad breaks a couple times but I'm reasonably happy with my full swing game. I just need to get the ball on the damn green and in the damn hole.

47/39=86. Two triples and two penalty strokes on the front didn't help. Back was my best 9 in recent memory.

41/35 for a 76. Extremely happy with my game right now, and shooting a good score with THPers is the best.

97 today. Some good shots but lots more bad ones. If I could only get the rest of my game working like my driver. Did manage 1 birdie.

51/50/48 today. We played 27 holes. I didn't see a flat spot on the whole dang course. Good times with friends that live ten hours away. I will not see five of them again until this time next year.
 
Terrible. Been absolutely killing it off the tee and then blowing it with an miserable short game. Can't pitch, chip or putt right now. I should spend all my practice time the next few months working on shots 40 yards and in.

Nice shooting even with those doubles. Coming into form.
 
Played my practice course again this morning and played 2 balls for the full 9 holes

Didn't play as well as the previous round but the score for one ball was -1 and the other was +2. Both scores are gross so I am pretty happy with how it went really although a bit disappointed considering the previous round
 
76, 78 or 80. lemme splain.

I wanted to play by myself today. when I got to the course it was still pretty dark out, but there were tons of people waiting. the dark and some rain pushed tee times back 30 minutes, so the threesome I was paired with, along with another foursome part of the same guys trip were escorted to #17. the guys let me go by myself without me asking which was awesome! I plug along well through 17 and 18 but on 1 get paired up again. no biggie. the rain was coming down and we ran into a group on 2. I shanked the shot on 2 into the water, then proceeded to put put my next shot in the bunker but got up and down. without counting the rain soaked shank it's a 76. but I have to count it!

the other 2 shots came on 10. perfect drive, but topped 4w that finished in a giant hole in a waste area. I was playing with 2 members who said that the course doesn't want anybody hitting out of that area, so the members play it as ground under repair (looking at it I would agree). so I played it as such and made par. as an unplayable, would have been a double.

I'm marking it 78.

I can no longer putt, averaged 29.6 per round last year, this year 35.4 with a nice 41 putts today. Ended up with an 85 - stuck the ball great

94 today. Can't find any consistency. Some great shots but a lot more poor ones. Trending to the mid 12's. Where did my game go?
 
A terrible 84... because it included a double, a triple, and a quad. Ouch.
