Mount Rushmore of Country Music

Hank Senior
Johnny Cash
This is the tough spot. Strait, Jones or Haggard..
George Strait
Loretta Lynn

I can't stand any of the new country with their fake ass twangs and horrible song writing.

George Jones
Merle Haggard
Keith Whitley
Vern Gosdin

Honorable Mention: Daryle Singletary, George Strait

He'd be #1 on the underrated Mt. Rushmore, for sure. You won't find many songs better than his version of "The Note". Such a shame he died last year.

Wife and I were actually looking for tickets one night and we found some we were planning on getting. Next day he passed. We were like wow

His voice was second to none

I know we have had threads about the Mount Rushmore of golf so it made me wonder what would be my Mount Rushmore of country music.

This was hard to decide on

Here is my list.

Johnny effing Cash
Hank Williams Senior
George Jones
Merle Haggard

What say you THP?

Randy Travis needs to be somewhere on Rushmore.

Randy was good but I think Rushmore is a stretch

Johnny Cash
Merle Haggard
George Jones
Hank Williams Sr.
Willie Nelson
Loretta Lynn
Dolly Parton
Patsy Cline
Garth Brooks

There are so many good C&A artists but Mt. Rushmore type not so many. Coe was one who didn't get the credit he deserved but another one was Vern Gosden. Don't know if he would be Rushmore type, but awful close.

Hank Williams, Sr.
George Jones
Merle Haggard
George Strait

That last spot is tough to fill. Cash, Jennings, Nelson, Cline, Owens, Parton. It's my list, so I went with my favorite, even though he probably doesn't deserve it.

Tough to do just four but I'd go with:

Jennings
Williams, Sr.
Patsy Cline
Cash

Oh man love
David Allen Coe
Never got the respect he is due !!!!!!!

Never ever ever ever.

George Jones
Merle Haggard
Keith Whitley
Vern Gosdin

I’d flip Haggard for Marty Robbins but that’s just me. I agree with the other 3. Gotta have a guy nicknamed “The Voice” on there and I’m biased towards Keith Whitley. He’s from my neck of the woods.

The Highwaymen minus Kristofferson, and George Jones.

I like this one, but partial to George Strait and Patsy Cline.

Was sitting on the beach and a group had their music on. When I heard this guy I thought of this thread and thought that Conway was left out. I know that he had a bunch of them, Rushmore worthy IDK, but got to be considered.
