With the huge amount of rain we've had, the hillsides by my house has bloomed a massive amount of poppies. Something we haven't seen here in probably 20 years. But damn!! The amount of people stopping to look at them is causing a major traffic issue. Check out the pics of the traffic getting off the freeway to get a look.

I've lived in the area since about '84 and I can remember one other time where we've seen anything even close to this.

Very cool. We saw them up here a few years ago for the first time. This year I would imagine it’s going to be even better.

Wow that’s impressive! When I saw those first pictures I thought it was just a few by the side of the road.

But are you sure the poppies didn't just put them to sleep, & that's why the traffic is backed up?
