I thought it was interesting that Titleist Japan does things differently over there than that of the US. I was curious as to why & had anyone tried out anything from over there?

They are a bit pricey! But I like some of their stuff. AP1's ... FORGED! Plus that Vokey! Man, I want that something bad!

I recently found a couple of brand new VG3 balls, pretty damn fun to hit (the benefit of my home course being a resort, lots of odd new balls to find). A good bit longer than the Q-Stars I normally play that's for sure.

I have a set (6-PW) of the '18 VG3 irons; I added a '18 AP3 5 iron and GW to round out the set--they are beauties but just can't seem to knock my gamers out of the bag, so likely will be putting them up for sale at some point.

Haven't ever tried any of the Japan release balls yet.

It's standard practice for companies to do things differently in Japan. Their wants and golf culture are quite a bit different. Callaway told us they don't like adjustable drivers for instance and they tend towards lighter clubs in general IIRC.

I was recently in Japan about a month ago and was amazed at what they have on offer. I saw those forged ap1’s and was blown away. Shame they don’t release them elsewhere cause I think they would sell like hot cakes. Oh and the balls OMG.

Those look smoking hot. Thanks for the golf porn.

Thanks; shafted with Mitsubishi OT graphite shafts and are great looking. Think the shaft is just a hair too firm for me.

Every OEM does it different in Japan. It's still a rather elite sport over there, very expensive. And with that, they demand a premium product. I'm sure the Vokey forged are absolutely fantastic.

Just check ebay and search for Japanese brands such as Baldo, Maruman, Ryoma, etc (then click on other items from seller) and you can see all their glorious wares! Some offer free shipping and I usually get my stuff in 3-5 days.

Ya those are nice looking.
