I know you really like the Equalizer wedges, but do you wish these had a set matching GW?

I don't think it is really necessary. I have always been about 50 - 50 on whether I played the matching GW or not with a set. Typically you get a couple of extra yards with the set GW but give up some touch around the green. The 50 degree Equalizer gaps well between the PW and 54 for me and the PW is easy to take a little off of if needed.

I know people are probably getting tired of hearing me say it but I can't overstate enough just how good these irons are for my game. I have always considered iron ball striking to be a weakness of mine but now it is suddenly a strength. The difference is forgiveness between this set and the previous PTx set is nothing short of astonishing. The extra 1/2 club or so distance I get over all of my previous iron sets certainly doesn't hurt either.

I would love to game these for a couple rounds. Always have been a fan of their looks.

You're killing me here :) Serious ponder on upgrading and reading your comments inches me towards placing a PO even though I still really like my "old" PTx.

I really liked them as well but these, for me, are just so much better. The OG PTx will still see some course time every once in a while though.

You won't be disappointed in the new model. Played a quick 9 last night. These heads are just as pure as my Mizuno's to be honest. Great feel. Paired with the recoil 100's, they are a great fit for me. First time out I was not a big fan due to the weak lofts(and poor ball striking) but after I got them bent they are awesome. Very stable setup and very forgiving. Pull the trigger my man!

Been a slowish week, but got out for 18 on Saturday and 9 last night. Off the tee I'm all over the place, and I can't putt to save my life right now, but these irons are saving my scores. As I've stated many times before, the miss hits aren't penalizing me as much as my supposedly SGI Ping G5's did. They are flying straighter and farther than my old set. I'm finding the sweet spot more often with these clubs. I'm also finding that my ball striking is almost perfect when hitting out of the rough, compared to off the fairway. I'm almost happier when I just miss the fairway and have and iron shot to the green. I've played enough rounds now that I'm pretty confident with my distances, and am usually picking the correct club.

I really wish the Recoil 110's were an option for the Equalizer wedges. I'd order a set (50,54,58) right now if they were.

Was just on the Ben Hogan Golf website looking at some technical aspects of the PTx Pro irons and found this! Great deal and BHG has a Fathers Day Deal right now, if you buy a 7 iron set, you can get $100 off of any Ben Hogan putter!

Had league tonight, and these irons saved me from an awful score. I didn't hit many good golf shots tonight, but seven of my eight swings with these irons were right on. I think I only had one or two other decent shots the entire round, luckily I was able to scramble well with these. I'm really getting dialed in with them, and I've found that if I hover at address I seem to hit them well 95% of the time. My one bad swing I chunked it, no hover. Every other swing I hovered and hit it right on the screws.

These irons continue to impress in a big way. Never before did I think I would be able to hit a PW 140 or a 7 iron 168, both of which I did today to end up pin high. With all of my previous sets, those distances were well hit 9 irons and 6 irons. And I didn't swing out of my shoes on either shot. Just a normal, smooth swing with solid contact.
