Auto vacuum

Anyone have a recommendation for an auto vacuum (roomba, etc.)? Wife says she wants one, but neither of us know much about them. Which are best? Any to avoid? We have a mix of hardwood, tile, and carpet (maybe medium pile, not shag, but definitely not low pile).

Not sure it is available in the states but we have a Shark hoover. We have all sorts of flooring and it swaps well between floors, almost creating a vacuum on hard floors

We have an EcoVac not sure of the model but it is pretty solid. It is not the lowest model it is a midrange with the ability to set boundaries but it does a solid job and goes over the transitions in our flooring easily.
