Ok, about to place an order on cell-parts for some collared ferrules on a set of graphite shafts and Wilson c300 heads. I've traditionally always used glass shafting beads to seat heads on for driver adapters. This will be first foray into irons and I read somewhere NOT to use sand/beads with collared ferrules because the ferrule won't seat properly. Is that true?

Any other tips that would be handy on installing a collared ferrule?

Thanks,

Hmm...think I might know why. The beads help center the shaft in the hosel...I guess that's what the collar does as well so there's less need for them. My guess anyway.
