How forgiving are Epic Pro Irons?

Quick question.. I ordered a set of Epic irons from CPO but they sent me Epic Pros instead. I called them to tell them of the mistake and the gentleman said if I wanted to test them for two weeks with no penalty I would be able too and if I didnít like them he will switch them out no charge.
So my question is how forgiving are Epic Pros? I went after the Epics because I just donít play that much anymore ( I recently have played AP3, Z545 and handicap is at 13 and Iím a decent ball striker.) and wanted a little more forgiveness. Are these more low handicap player irons or mid-low handicap iron.

    Thanks for your help.

Based on your description, I think you could play the Epic Pros just fine. While they are neither as forgiving nor as long as the Z545, standard Epic irons or other game improvement irons, I think they are more forgiving than the Z7 series irons, AP2s, or similar, player profiles. I think what may be more important to your success is whether they have a shaft the fits your swing profile.

Iíd say the Epic Pro is maybe slightly less forgiving than the 545, based on size - I think itís a bit smaller heel to toe, whereas the regular Epic will be more forgiving and a little bit bigger.

I found the Epic Pros to be plenty forgiving, but the profile is WAY smaller than the standard Epic.

Iíd say try them out, and if you donít like them swap Ďem.

What do you have to lose?

Me? Hit a ďProĒ style anything? Hahaha.

I had the regular Epicís. And those were fantastic with forgiveness, especially off the toe. It was a game improvement distance iron designed to help the amateur. I loved them and is what I needed at the time. Doesnít matter what your handicap is. Mid to high level caps play smaller profile or Pro irons. Just go with what you like and feels/looks good.

Looks like our guy @blakehall gave his opinion on the Pros.

While I can't talk about the forgiveness, I can say that if that happened to me and you let CPO know, I'd play them and not even worry about the 2 weeks.
If you like them, you'd get a better club at a lower price. Call it Monopoly's "Bank Error in Your Favor"
