Club Testing in Tampa Area - April 2nd 2016

Thanks for the heads up on the weather. Just looked, and the chance for rain isn't to bad during the day. It looks the like the best chance for storms is later in the evening.

Thats what I am seeing as of right now as well. It was very different yesterday so I think its a good thing to keep an eye on throughout the day. I would hate to have you guys drive 4 hours each way to not be able to play.

We appreciate the heads up. We will keep an eye on it, but as of now, I'm still good for heading up there.

I second this! Thanks for the consideration and heads up!

Wow talk about a list of THPer's. I am glad to see that my move from Ohio to Florida will still allow for local gatherings.

Where you are going to, this would be about 4 hours each way, so keep that in mind.
But yes, we are doing a number of these this year.

Nothing that a overnighter couldn't take care of. Plus it's well worth the drive when THPers are involved.

Weather is weather and I know it can change in a moment. That said do you have some sort of time window where you would call it due to weather? Should we just keep an eye on the forum? I've got about a 2.5 hr dive and I understand the unpredictable nature of things... rub of the green as it were. Just want to understand the protocol if there is one. :)

Never had anything rained out. Kind of crazy when you think about it.
Right now it has 50% at around the time we tee off and then clearing up, so my gut says we are good to go.
I have about an hour drive, but unless the weather changes drastically, I am going to head over in the morning.

Even if it rains that means I'll finally be able to use the rain jacket that is so neatly folded in my golf bag!

Jealous of you guys getting together tomorrow. Should be a good time for you fellas.

Mine has only been out of the bag to find something else in that pocket. Also, wouldn't be the first time I've played in the rain.
We're looking to arrive sometime between 8-830. Maybe a stop for some coffee or a monster on the drive up, but hoping to get there plenty early.

Those are some good looking groups. Have a blast everyone.

2. What do you think your peak height is?
3. What do you think your launch angle is?
4. What do you think your carry distance is?

Just quote the post and give your answers. Thank you.

1. LOW
2. With this driver, 20ft (at least this is what I was seeing on the range today)
3. 12°
4. Again, with this driver 190 yds.
I will say that my last round with this driver, my ball height got much better towards the end of the round. Indian problem.

20ft? Like, you couldn't hit it over a two story house and you're skimming a one story if the roof peak is high?

We gotta work on that

I do believe I am a mid ball hitter.

Peak height is around 20-25 yards.

Launch angle would be around 7-8* on average.

Carry distance is typically around 220 yards or so.

Not today. Think I almost hit the flag stick at 150. Not typical, but that's all I saw today.
