Got my swing figured out again. It's all in the grip. I started getting too strong with my lead hand and too weak on the other hand. I remembered my coach showing me how to throw a ball and adjusted my grip. No more shanks. No more misses right and left. Heck I I was 2 over through 7 and then the lightening started.
Trying to wait this out because I feel this will be a sub 80 round today for sure. Hopefully I won't go into stupid mode for the gauntlet.

Heading to the range to figure out my irons after work today. Could be a long, painful session.

Spent a lot of time working on those today at Verrado unfortunately. Think I ended up in 10. Desert golf involves a lot of sand and rock it seems. Real glad I had a chance to get a feel for it before the event.
Had an amazing range session at lunch today. Got my tempo back on point. Went last night and everything was weak right and I was feeling like it putting way to much effort. Feels good to get that effortless ball flight and you have an "idea" where the ball is going.
I will be getting out for 18 on Sunday morning as well. Playing a course I have only played once before last year so a good chance to work on that traveling handicap.

Played a round today and kicked it around a bit. Straightened things out a bit on the last hole and hit some solid shots.
Still have some setup issues that are getting me off track but things are trending up. Season doesn't usually start until a few weeks up here so it's all gravy.

Like seeing all the work put in for this event, the matches will be close!
How well do you guys know your Captains yet? What is something you know about them and what is something you're looking forward to learning?

I don't know a whole lot about AJ other than reading the recaps from other events. What I do gather is that he is high energy likes small shirts and likes to pull driver in any situation. I think our team will mesh great with out Capt. And honestly think we will have such a blast as a team win or lose.

There's has been some light banter with #TeamRookie's Captain, Steven on Twitter and he seems cool so I'm looking forward to being on his team. I don't know much about him aside from the fact he's a lefty so I guess we'll see if that's really the 'right' side, haha!

Enjoyed dinner w my teammate, Big Tex, discussing golf, clubs, and #TheGauntlet. We got Team Ethanator bonding happening.
Will be a fun weekend in May!!
