After seeing the Sub70 thread I got interested in the 639 irons. Called them and talked to Jason who recommended the 699 irons. I ordered the 6 & 9 Sub70 demo irons. They came in today. The are way to purdy to hit them, but I will. Same lofts for the 6 & 9 irons with my gamer TM Burner 2.0 irons. The 699's are a little smaller than the 2.0's, and the top line is a little thicker.....but that's ok. I look at the back of the ball and not the top line at address.

Here's the 6 iron;

Let us know how it goes. This is a brand that's on my radar for sure.

Nice looking clubs. Are these hollow bodied, filled with a foam type clubs similar to the P790s or PXGs?

Yes, they are hollow bodied with a 17mm 455 Carpenter Steel face head that is injected with TPE, a resin like substance that stabilizes the face and creates improved feel and sound at impact.

Here's the link to the 699 irons.

They look amazing

Digging that logo. Have fun with the demos.

I really shouldn’t have clicked that link. 499.00 for 4-PW? I expected these to be 1500.00. Please post only the negatives once you hit these, otherwise my wallet may take a hit.

699's are the set I'm interested in as well. Looking forward to your thoughts. Their prices are had to beat, especially if the clubs perform.

Played the 6 & 9 Sub70 699 demo irons yesterday, range session today before the round. They feel great, nice solid impact feel, mid to high launch and equal distance with my TM Burner 2.0 6 & 9 irons. The shafts were KBS Tour V 90 reg flex. Very nice mid-high launch with these shafts. Found out all I needed to know with these demo irons and sending them back as soon as I receive the return shipping label.

So you think you'll be purchasing a set? Mid-high launch sounds nice. I don't need an upgrade from the M4's, but these just look way too pretty.

I won't be ordering. Although a 5-PW set of the 699's are right at $500.00, a great price, I didn't see the reason to spend money for no noticeable improvement over the irons currently gamed.
