Midwest staple in some places the Slinger is delicious. Different places construct it differently but the way I always had it was hash browns, meet, egg, cheese and then chili.

Had a Slinger?

Haven't had a slinger, looks damn tasty, but I feel I might have a heart attack on the way out the doors.
 
I have never heard of such a thing.
 
I've never had one but Now I need one!

Yep. It's a chili and cheese omelette at coney here in Michigan.

I know this will shock you, but part of the Midwest is outside of Appleton, WI.

Popular in one state does not equal Midwest Staple. By that measure, lighting lakes on fire is also a Midwest Staple.
 
I love the looks but it does look like a colestrol nightmare!

It's popular in multiple states including Missouri and Indiana. Jeez...

Interesting. I will have to keep an eye out for it during my travels.

Wrap that in a tortilla and you have a killer breakfast burrito - I hate to admit that my new place has at least 2, possibly up to 4, places/taco trucks within walking distance that all make this.
 
Looks delicsious, reminds me some of the Garbage Plate from Rochester, NY
 
I need this for dinner.
 
Her never had one but the bottom of the two pictures looks delicious. I want one now.
 
There was a little diner in Torrance, CA many years ago that served that exact combo. I can't remember what they called it, but it was go to on just about every trip there.
 
Never had it, but looks delicious. Of course Ill eat just about anything anyhow.
 
I haven't had one yet, but looks darn delicious!
 
I want one. A friend in Chicago had one this morning downtown and said it was legit.
