Tomorrow is the final weigh in for our lats contest (http://www.thehackersparadise.com/f...The-Official-THP-Biggest-Loser-Contest-Part-V), so I wanted to go ahead and pick off the next one since I know a lot of people will be back for the latest edition.

This Contest will run from April 4th to June 13th

If you were in the last one and want in this one, just post here sometime between today and end of Monday.

By the end of each Monday (this needs to be a strict deadline this year, had TOO MANY DELAYS in years past), participants will need to email me a picture of their scale with that week's weight displayed on it. My email address is simply my forum name @gmail.com


On Tuesday a updated standings list will be posted on this page. On it will be each persons pounds lost/gained that week, the % lost/gained that week as well as a up to date % lost/gain for the contest. NO weights of anyone in the contest will be shared with anyone else, it will only be used for the calculations. The standings will be posted by overall % lost as a TEAM (and within that the individual breakdowns)

We will again randomly select teams for this one, with a twist. ALL weights are due by midnight on Monday. If a weight is not submitted in time that person will have a .10% penalty for the overall team. Over a 10+ week span those penalties can add up and have a huge impact to the standings. It is my hope this element helps keep everyone engaged for the duration of the contest.

Signups will go through all day tomorrow then teams will be announced on Tuesday.

Week 10 in the books, as a group we LOST 22.8 lbs. To date the overall group loss is 92.5 lbs.
Heres the standings by order of team #

Team #1 loss of .68%, 1.20% penalty for 12 weights not sent in leaves them at a gain of .52%
Team #2 loss of 1.72%, .30% penalty for 3 weight not submitted leaves them at loss of 1.42%
Team #3--loss of 2.07%, .80% penalty for 8 weights not submitted leaves them at a loss of 1.27%
Team #4--2.76% loss, .30% penalty for 3 weights not submitted leaves them at a loss of 2.46%
Team #5--1.12% loss, .90% penalty for 7 weights not submitted leaves them at a loss of .22%

I'm in. I kind of stalled out on the last one after a great start. Time to get back into it seriously again.

As much as i like these to hold me accountable on a weekly basis, i seem to lose more when i'm not in one. i'm going to sit this one out.
 
Dang, Mike! I was hoping for a week off before starting the new one so that I could indulge in something I haven't tasted in weeks (pasta maybe). Ah, well. It's probably for the best. I would have probably gained 5 pounds back of what I worked so hard, and sacrificed so much, to lose over the weeks of Version V! I'm in again in Version 6.

Me too but i didnt want to spend 2 weeks making up for 1 weeks sin lol

In for round 2! I lost a little over 10lbs on the last one, and I am down 30+ since last September. Now that the weather is getting nicer and I can be more active outside I'm looking forward to keeping this momentum going. I want to try and drop 20 more by the end of this so I'll have to put in some work!!!
 
My check in for this week is on the way. haven't made any progress in the last 3 weeks. sucks as I have been eating A LOT better and trying. time to start cardio......did I mention I absolutely hate cardio.

Not a very solid first round, missed my minimum goal by 5lbs so I'm adding those 5lbs to this minimum goal.
