For me in Texas it is Black Jacks Crossing. I know there are plenty of other great courses but it is the only mountain course in Texas and the scenery is spectacular.

They’ve made tee times available to the general public so, semi-private/semi-public.

I know you already mentioned it---some on here hate Pine Barrens. I won't add except to say:

    Guilty as charged.

While I do get the "value meter" vs TPC , Stream Song, Innisbrook, etc----I would personally counter Southern Hills Plantation after 11:00 (open to public after 11 AM) as higher on the value scale than World Woods.

Rates are very very reasonable---particularly in summer imo (~$65 vs ~$210 for Copperhead) in June---especially considering SHP is the Monday qualifier for Valspar.

The place is immaculate, and challenging for any level of play.

In my opinion, it's not close

It's awesome. Definitely one of the top public course in the state easily.

    Seconded.

For Nevada, I'll go with Wolf Creek. Not the cheapest, but it's certainly one of the most unique courses in the state. You could play them both in the same day!

I’ve played it a couple of times and have always been asked what member I was playing under.. I did not realize the condos and play were open to the public. I work in WP, I’m gonna start going out there a little more often for some range time :)
