RIP Bill Buckner
Bill Buckner was a heckuva ballplayer and fine man. Age 69 is way too young.
I hated it when the Dodgers traded him away. Sorry to hear off his passing

He was a very solid MLB players for many years and seemingly a very solid dude. I am probably one of the few Red Sox fans that did not consider him the villian of the 1986 World Series. All on John McNamara for the numerous poor decisions leading up to that play. RIP Mr. Buckner.
I saw someone on the twitterverse pointed out there were 16 MLB players strike out 3 times on Sunday. 22 year career and Buckner never struck out 3 times in a game...
People also forget when he came up he was a heck of an outfielder then he loss his knees
