People abuse clubs all the time. Iíve never launched one into the drink.... felt like dumping my entire bag a time or two though! Lol...Weíre human and get frustrated. I donít have an issue with it as long as no one else is being endangered and itís not habitual...But I wonít let a club abuser borrow my clubs either....btw, the Stinson back flip into the water was priceless!

It is not a good look but I get it. Imagine making a 20 instead of a 7 if you are a 18 handicap.

Golf is a maddening game and causes people to snap if you aren't in a good frame of mind already.

Exactly! Who cares. Some folks have to get it out and some folks can channel that anger in a different manner. Everybodyís different, be yourself and do you.

How many times in years past has a live broadcast caught Tiger on a cursing tirade after a bad shot? Whatís worse, a club toss or your 7 year old hearing Tiger drop F bombs on live TV?

Personally I think launching a misbehaved driver into the pacific is hilarious especially on TV. This guy isnít exactly a household name and Iím sure heís made his mea culpas. I think we tend to forget these guys are human and are prone to the same mistakes that we all are.

Haven't seen it yet, although I will definitely be seeking it when I can, but it doesn't bother me in the least. Shows he's human, and I know I've personally had moments where I've wanted to toss a club. The difference is I pay for my own clubs...

I'm fine with the occasional meltdown as long as it doesn't hurt the course or detract from others' experience. But I hate litter, so I don't like him tossing it in the ocean. One of the benefits (or drawbacks) of having Arccos sensors on the end of my clubs is that I can't abuse them. It's a rare occasion anyway, but I like having the option m

when my brother and I were juniors we destroyed a couple of older guys in the final of a 4 ball matchplay event. the walk back in took our vanquished opponents over a bridge across a creek. one of them threw his whole bag in the creek but had to come back ten minutes later to retrieve his car keys lol.

I got my 1st set of name brand clubs by whooping a old rich guys ass at golf one day. He pulled his wallet and keys out of his bag, gave me a $100 and then threw a brand new set of Ping Zings in the drink on the 18th. I just looked at him, and said ďI guess Iím going swimmingĒ. I waded in and swiped those bad boys up. Those clubs did suck though. I sold them to a buddy a couple of weeks later.

I still think that was hilarious.

Would have been better if he melted it onto a plaque or something and kept it on the hole.

Player Throws Driver into Water at US Open

Thatís true that the general population canít afford to do it, but that hasnít stopped plenty of people from doing it anyways. Iíve seen it on the course more than a few times. Iíve never been much of a club chucker, but unchecked anger comes in many forms.

As long as no one gets hurt I think itís kind of funny

All other top tier sports have some sort of a penalty for a player that does something childish, however the PGA lets them get away with it. Golf is supposed to be a gentleman's game, they need to act like one! You do break, throw or slam a club into the ground you get penalized, either stokes, points or money. That will put a stop to their Juvenal actions!

I agree, there should be a list of things that are not acceptable (club throwing, breaking, course damage, etc) and regardless of who they are or what their position is on the leaderboard, hit them with a 3 shot penalty for every infringement

But I doubt it will happen as we have seen time and again that the ruling bodies won't enforce rules on slow play so why should this be any different
