    What Companies Talk Tech?

When it comes to marketing there are all kinds from player sponsors to commercials to created content. Which company out there do you think does the best job at discussing technology as it relates to their products?

Callaway does the best job to me with the AI/flash face, truvis, triple track, stoke lab, and other technologies they have. I think it can get a bit overwhelming since they do have so many technologies, but they lay it out so that you can understand the benefits of each.

    Cobra Golf

Master Yagley, Jose, and the other guy whose name slips my mind were fantastic when speaking about the technology and tech in their golf clubs.

I think all the big OEM's highlight tech in their own way. As far as which company has really went all in on it, I think it's gotta be Callaway. The AI that went into their Flash Face has been front and center in their campaigning this year. It's a great story and a great selling point. I wouldn't call AI or deep learning a buzz word. But, it is really something that has been gaining a lot of traction.

Callaway is the most social media savvy of any golf OEM, nobody else is even close.

    Good on them, I guess.

Callaway, hands down. They're always finding creative ways to put the tech front and center.

I dont really think any of them go into much detail in their commercials, which makes sense given how short they are. Bridgestone with the new Bryson commercials actually might go into the most depth (still very shallow) on the tech in some of the golf balls. The rest in commercials do all seem to be talking about it now though. Ive seen commercials from Callaway, Cobra, Taylormade, Bridgestone, Wilson, even Titleist that are talking about tech.

The best at explaining what it is when you look into it if you want to, tends to be Callaway and Cobra from what Ive seen.

I think Callaway pushes/highlights their technology the most of any company, but I think Cobra does the best job of explaining their technology in layman's terms to the average consumer (Callaway is not far behind in that regard though).

I really like the explanation of speedback by Cobra golf and their partnership with Arccos to utilize data analytics to improve a golfers game is underrated.

When it comes to lie / loft / build quality I think the Orka golf team does a great job but they are more obscure of a company so I don't know how many they reach.

Most club makers do a little when it comes to commercials. Enough to at least spotlight the tech - Cobra w/speed back design and milled face, Callaway with Flash Face and before that Jailbreak, Taylormade with the Twist Face and Screw Face, etc. I'm not sure one really stands out to me going by what the average golf consumer will see.

For golf balls I think Bridgestone gets the most technical in their advertising. Though, they are terrible when it comes to their clubs IMO.

I think Callaway is up at the top because they seem to have the most innovation and technology to talk about:

    - Use of AI
    - the Flash Face
    - the microgrooves in the PM Grind wedges
    - MIM'd Tungsten weights in the irons
    - microspheres
    - graphene in the balls
    - Triple Track Technology and Vernier Acuity
    - Cup Face technology

    Callaway.

I have one brand in mind, but still find this hard to answer.

Bridgestone and Titleist have recent ball tech or demonstrations I thought were well done.
And some companies have little new technology to talk about and deliver great products/service. Traditional blades are still an icon.

Knowledge (tech or innovation) is an advantage, and patents only protect so much then expire. It is rare to get the full story.
Some companies tell entertaining but pointless stories anyways to feed the hype train. And with confidence having value to golf, sometimes fairy tales work.

Ohh… that's forged? Cute. (I don't know if that means single billet or cast with a hammer tap). Grain flow, multi step... Huh? What is the difference in GSS vs. SSS vs. SS. Honestly, would 304 Stainless be a deal breaker? The list is added to every year and I cannot tell if that is corn mash whiskey or bourbon most of the time.

Callaway has the marketing and R&D with enough different ideas to get my vote.
