Bought my own machine four years ago.

    Check every so often.

Checked two sets today. I play upright by a few degrees and they always go flat and added loft.

7 iron always moves most. Today it was 36* loft and 61 lie. Supposed to be 34* loft and 62.5 lie.

I have both Mitchell and Golf Mechanix. So many places use the sturdy Mitchell machines at the shaft and club level, using something different for analytics didnít work for me.

Def makes sense to be on the same measuring system/scale as the companies.

Had been debating getting mine checked as i have been having really inconsistent contact through my irons but very consistent with my non-set wedges. Had them built at club champion so assumed they would be perfect as that's their whole shtick.

Finally had them checked after reading this thread - Ordered to 1* flat. 4 and 6 iron were 2* flat. 5, 7, 8 were 1* flat, 9 and P were standard lie.

bent them all back to standard, will see if that helps anything.

wow, I would have expected perfection.

how long have you had them? Clubs can tend to bend one way or the other over time.

I havenít checked my irons and wedges since I purchased them (well, received the wedges). But I certainly need to. I have a feeling my pitching wedge and 9-iron are off, seems to be a large gap between those 2

    Here is a good question:

How many out there ever get their putter loft and lie checked and adjusted for their game?

With me having my putter for so long, 7-8 years I think I've adjusted to it even if the lie angle/loft were off

I have once in the Sam Putt Lab at my local Club Champion as part of a full bag sitting. They adjusted my loft and lie slightly. I didnít notice a difference and it didnít equate to lower scores.

Iíve found that finding the correct grip, head shape, neck/offset, and head weight help the most when it comes to putting better. I havenít found a difference from alignment aids either, and actually putted very well with the TM black spider with no alignment markings.

I brought in my X Forged UT to be adjusted as it was supposed to be 1 flat. Wanted it 1 up. He checked it and it was 3 flat. Had to bend it 4 degrees which seemed like a lot.

Just found out that the local Austad's can do those checks and adjustments. So, the plan is to get my set in and have them checked.
