New irons

If you are just looking to pick up a set of clubs to start out and want something right off the shelf, then they are fine. I think you can get a set for about $400 new.
 
Make sure you get the right flex for your swing. To soft of flex and your misses will be worse.
 
I think they are a solid set.

A good starter set. Thought I saw some on Callaway preowned too.
 
The Callaway Diablo edge irons were my first set when I got into the game. They were great! I moved on from them after a couple years but I still carry the 3 hybrid.
