Did you remove old paint in holes or just go over? Also what paint did you use to get the gloss finish?

Here's a better look at the paint job, looks pretty cool:

The blue line with melting "ice" was the hardest part of this job

So this is my finished product, i think I'm going to redo the blue loft numbers they didn't come out as good as I wanted them to, I think the turf interaction made the numbers a bit shallower haha anyways I love the whole red white and blue US open scheme that all my clubs have. When I finish med school and I can afford forged irons, I'll paint them the same color hahahaha

I just found all my clubs in at my parents house today, I haven't golfed in over 3 years because of time and finishing graduate school. I these damn paint fills I once did and don't remember how I used to do them hHa.
I need to get into golf again

I think it's time for you to get back into the golf scene. 3 years is a long time. Hopefully grad school is behind you and you can start enjoying the game again.

Not a great pic but I changed up my S55's with some black and gold.

First attempt at paint fill. Lady wanted her putter to be pink. Ha.

I recently bought an old, in okay condition Scotty Newport Two TEi3 off of TeedupThoughts in the marketplace. Just wanted to share with you guys. I used aircraft remover from autozone because I couldn't find Tal-strip, it worked well and removed all the paint in no time. I then sanded everything down for what felt like forever, going in steps from 400 grit to 1000 grit. I used Caswell Black Oxide on the putter it worked well I'm happy with the blackness (?) of the putter. Used Testors enamel for the paintfill. I wish someone had told me how awful the copper paint was, everytime I would go to clean up the extra copper paint on the club it would go everywhere!!! Overall I'm happy with my first restoration, I feel like with practice they will start coming out even better. I also got a new shaft to go on the putter, a Scotty matador grip for it and a Scotty handcrafted shaft band for it, this should be my gamer for awhile. I wouldn't have tried it if I never stumbled on this thread though, thanks guys!!

Dude that came out fantastic.

Wow I would say that came out great!

Hey sorry about not responding to this, must have missed it.

I took out all the old paint using paint remover and then filled it in with new paint. The paint I used was gloss enamel paint, so it just kinda naturally comes out like that. They have matte and flat finished enamel paints I believe, but the pack I got was gloss.

That looks really good beefscrap

Thanks. I really like the gold PING on the hosel. My mizzy wedges are black head that I put silver paint on but might switch that to gold as well.

Thanks for all the great examples. I'm going to go ahead and give this a shot to touch up my wedges.

Made a change to the look of the clubs today.

I plan on doing this in the near future! My J15CB "B" logo will be filled in either blue & yellow or just blue. Haven't decided yet.

Finally got a Scotty Cameron,

Any suggestions for paintfill? I usually do a patriotic theme since I play with my taylormade US open staff bag, but this putter will have the THP citrus head cover from years ago, maybe I can do a citrus theme

Any ideas?? I need to do more paintfills

A clean look always for me is minimal coloring, mostly a base color. White/Black with Citrus details.

Maybe a lime green and lemon yellow Scotty in lime, cameron in lemon.

I decided to do a red and white scheme to stay true to the scotty theme but still match my Taylormade scheme, I'll post pictures in a few minutes, I love the way it turned out

Looks good, real clean.

I think the thing I like most is the red topline. Classy job Satch!

thank guys, I was going for a simple scheme to match the titleist colors, I love the way it turned out.

That looks great! I did mine with red, white, and blue in April so here's an idea if you feel like changing it up at some point. (pics are from my post a couple pages up)

This was my first attempt at customizing. A wedge might have been easier due to its flat surface. I think ill give that a try next. One tip that i would give is to be confident in your hammer strike. Commit to it and hit it! Sorry for the lousy picture quality!

Paint Fill Tools

That looks 10 times better than my first stamping attempt lol agree 100% on confident strikes

Here's my first 2 attempts at blasting images on some clubs. Beyond pleased with them
