As the reigning King of this great kingdom that is THP, I recognize that my grip on the throne is tenuous at best and someone will be looking to usurp my power and position in a matter of weeks.

To ensure I am not forgotten by my adoring subjects, I am searching for the best minstrel in the entire kingdom to record for posterity my rapid rise to the throne.

Having been inspired by the story of the rise to royalty of my great friend His Royal Higness Prince William of Bel-Air, (okay he's not really a "great friend" of mine but that doesn't matter) I think it only fitting that my story be set to that same melody.
Edit- If you identify more with Carlton and would prefer the melody to the Tom Jones classic "It's not unusual" that will work too.

Things that must be included in the song:
-- Cobra/Puma Golf
-- THP

Hopefully this will be a fun contest and creativity in your story telling (whether completely true or not) is encouraged. Whichever of you aspiring minstrels wins this contest will receive a (very) small prize from me!

If you can make the Carlton (Tom Jones) thing work, then go for it. I'll accept it for the purpose of the contest.

In Fort Wayne, Indiana, born and raised
On the golf course was where I spent most of my days
Maxin’ out, swingin’, puttin’ so hard
And writing some ugly numbers on the scorecard
When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Started betting and taking money in neighborhood
I lost one little nassau and mom’s like ‘look at this mess kid’
She said 'You're gettin' Cobra/Puma gear and a swing lesson'


I called up a website and when it came clear
The forum said Cobra and a cool Puma appeared
If anything I could say that this site was sweet
And I thought ‘all good, my new home, THP'


I posted on the forum about 9 or ten
And JB yelled ‘Yo TK, you're picked for the win’
I looked at my kingdom
I could finally see
A better swing, gear and the King of THP

Great job d_in_la, looks like it could be a tough act to follow. We'll see.
 
I know it's a bit cliche, but I thought it was fun to bring back the full/original theme!

Now this is the story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the new King of THP
In Indiana born and raised
On the driving range where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing or coolin' or shooting some golf balls outside of the school
When a couple of marshalls, they were up to no good
Started making trouble in my practice green
I got in one little #THPCallout and my mom got scared She said "you're moving with your auntie and uncle in THP"
I begged and pleaded with her the other day
But she packed my golf bag and sent me on my way
She gave me a kissin' and she gave me my ticket I put my cobra visor on and said, "I might as well swing it!"
First class, yo this isn't bad,
Drinking gatorade out of a THP Bottle
Is this what the people of THP livin' like?
Hmm this might be alright!
I whistled for a cab and when it came near the License plate said 'THP' and had a Pumas in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought nah forget it, yo homie- to THP
I pulled up to a house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabby "Yo, homie, birdie you later!"
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the King of THP.
 
This is going to be fun to follow along with that's for sure. Well done King!

"Fresh King Of Hackers"

Now, this is a story all about how

In northeast Indiana born and raised
On the golf course was where I spent most of my days
Puttin' greens, max practicin' on the range
I'm all in for makin' the most positive change
When a couple of hacks who brought their own two mice
Started making trouble in my Paradise
I got in one little fight, so scared was my mom
She said 'You'll make better friends on the site THP.com'

I googled for fresh gear and then sipped a cola
This site said Puma is fresh and so is Rickie's Cobra
If anything I'd say the forum was the bomb
And I thought 'Yeah, that's right' - 'Now, click the dot com!'

I refreshed the contest page 10 times that day
And I yelled to the forum 'Gimme April or May'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally Don
Taking the throne as KING of THP.com

Not a lot of entries in this, but all 3 were very strong. That said, there can only be one winner.

As the current King of THP it's my pleasure to announce that the lyrics by shanewu have been chosen to record for posterity my rise to King.

In return for his service to his King shanewu will be rewarded with a set of THP branded tees every 30 days for life! (or as long as I remain King of this great kingdom, whichever is shorter)
