Golf courses should have better names. What are some cool ones out there?

One of the best is in Louisville and as a 3 time PGA Championship and one time Ryder Cup host it has the chops as a top notch course. Valhalla is a great course name and more courses should be named like this instead of the very generic names they are generally given.

Fun topic.
Dancing Rabbit and Black Diamond always come to mind for me.

Just outside of Warrenton, Va. is a P.B. Dye layout called The Gauntlet. Worth a visit if you get the chance!

A few I think are cool

Crystal Downs
Tobacco Road
Whistling Straits
The Dormie Club
Crooked Stick
Cascata

I was trying to think of the best WI course names and Whistling Straights is the obvious one. I kinda like Wild Rock and Sentryworld as well.

The Warrior
Dubsdread

Have always liked those 2

Tobacco Road
King's North

Waiting for you to open your course...

WillyWood GC

Maybe I can get the HOA to rename the Par 3 here...Willywood Golf and Racquet Club!

Legendary Oaks. The name is the nicest thing about the course, total goat track but it is home.

Predator Ridge is one of my favourites.

I don't know, but for some reason the only one that really comes to mind is ............ The Hideaway Golf Club. Something about that name just ..........

I've played it, but Purgatory outside Indy is an awesome name!

Rum Pointe always sounded cool to me!

That's always fun to play! Great views all around too.

I loved the course, didn't hurt that I played well too. I think it's a must play for anyone going to Ocean City.

There's a course outside of chicago called "Big Run." I've always like that name, as it suits the course very well.
