The course was in pretty good shape but going from fast greens Saturday to those killed me. On 17 par 3, I was the only one to get on the green but I was on the back of the green and 4 putted to a double bogey. Looking back at the round, I hit 69% fairways and my irons were getting better and better throughout the round, but the putting was awful.
Also if you still want that towel, I honestly would give it to you for free man. I have been on a golf spring cleaning binge, next time we play I'll toss it your way.

The greens were pretty inconsistent yesterday, but I still managed to putt decently well. Course was in pretty good shape tho, only a few wet areas.
Inconsistent greens, where?

I had cash on me yesterday! I appreciate it, I am sure we will play soon.

Bought myself a new putter this weekend (enough with the crooked one). Can't say I ain't happy. No holes with more than 2 putts. The feeling is great. I'll be ready for when I can get back in NY and share a round. :)

So the NYSGA Amateur Series will be at a few familiar venues this year.

- Brook-Lea (Shankosaurus' club)
- Stafford (six4three5's club)
- Links at Hiawatha (THP Cure Event)
- Transit Valley CC (right up the street from me. Played it last year, nice course)
- Glen Oaks (Public course and charging $20+ more than the green fee with no swag, huh?)

Unfortunately June 4th is one of 2 days I can't commit to golf all summer as my sister in law is getting married. However don't change the dates around me because I'd most likely only do one round anyways so I could always meet on the Sunday.

this is too close to the Cure event for me, I can't make it

Alright, way too many "No-can-do" right off the bat. Going to push this back to September which will give us more time to organize and garner interest.

Dates: September 2016, weekend TBD

Golf: 3 rounds - 36 on Saturday, 18 on Sunday (or whatever you can do)

Venues: Greystone and Shadow Lakes http://rochestergolfcourses.com/our-courses and one additional course, maybe Blue Herron Hills http://www.blueheronhillsgc.com/ or Webster http://www.webstergolf.com/

Lodging: Found an inexpensive hotel option http://budgetinnontariony.magnusonhotels.com/ in between the courses (about $70 a night)

Let me know what you think of the courses. Thanks

Courses look real nice. September sounds good to me. Gonna let me some time to put some cash aside.

Bik, we should try to convince your Brother to join us for that trip. tell him it's for your Birthday, it could work.

I can probably get BrookLea on the weekends of the 10 or 17th if you'd like. Has to be after 1 pm though, but let me check that

Jim, weren't you looking to get something together for Brook-Lea in August?

As I said, a September event would most likely count me out. Don't plan around me though, if September works for everyone don't hesitate to do it.

I'm with Matt. I think it's too difficult to pick a weekend that's perfect.

If it was me Andy. I go ahead and pick a weekend and let everyone know this the weekend I'm doing xyz whomever wants to join is more than welcome.

Thanks guys, I'm wondering from Jim's post if he was thinking of maybe combining this with Brook-Lea being the afternoon round on Saturday. That would move it into August then. I like that idea.

Question: has anyone played East Aurora Country Club? I'm playing there soon and could use some pointers.

Andy, I am flexible. I was just trying to minimize travel for some of the out-of-town people. If we want two separate dates it's ok with me.

No, I like the idea. We can plan the other 1-2 rounds around the afternoon round at Brook-Lea. That would be on Saturday, right?

Maybe tie with the scramble tournament that you won last for my union fund raiser?

Had a lot of momentum today but blew it. 1-under thru 11, and then went bogey, bogey, 4 pars, and another bogey to shoot a 74. Can't complain about the score, but how it happened was a little disheartening. Junior Masters qualifier is about 2 and a half weeks away, gotta get prepped :)

hey Guys!

3 weeks from Monday, I will be on my way back home from Binghamton after the cure event, and I was thinking about stopping in the Syracuse/Rochester area for a round if some of you guys are available.

any of you guys can make it?

I will make it work. It will be good to see you again.

If you want a nice Habs hat so it won't go to waste, I have one for you :)

Cool, but you still have to wear that hat at your next thp event

Really...I thought it was a 2 week avatar bet but then I'm not really worried about those conditions anyways :alien:
