If any of you THP'ers are ever craving some delicious beer, with some wonderful mountain golf, i'm only a PM away!

Some of my favorite local breweries include:

Happy Monday!

I've heard a lot of good things about Asheville, but never heard about their culture of beer...

Hmm... 6 hour drive..? I'll be there!

Thanks, I will. Have to stop at one of my stores and work on some equipment and take in a confrence call pretty soon, then will be hitting the road. Send some of that beer to Omaha, they may run a little low by Wednesday, haha

I would have to say that Milwaukee is still the Brew City!!!

All the courses look great!! Beer and golf? Is there anything better? So when are we having the first THP-Asheville Beer/Golf Open ?

i'm always down to accomodate anyone if they want to visit this beautiful section of the country. i don't forsee a huge outing here but i'm sure we could wrangle up a few of the guys who live in georgia and there's a few more east of me.

mmm... beer... golf... all thats missing is the new contestants of the big break series...
or wait... that must be my fantasy... nvm

id def love to come visit

all depends on what you consider good beer. i would say that you live in "cheap beer-state USA", that's something to be incredibly proud of, and as far as good local beers go, i'll take what's in chicago any day over what's in milwaukee. i suppose you're proud of harley-davidson's too.

edit: i meant hardly ableson's

You see all of you think of Wisconsin as Miller. I hate Miller think its junk. Most people forget about the New Glarus's, Point Brewery, Capitol Brewery, Lakefront Brewery, Rock Bottom Brewery, Lake Louie Brewery, Ale Asylum, and Central Waters Brewery. Milwaukee and Wisconsin is far from just Miller!!! I am not saying that Asheville has bad beer by any means. I will drink good beer anywhere. I personally prefer the beer that I make at home. That reminds me I have to go and have some of my Belgian Triple.

I did not want to turn this into a pissing contest. I am from Milwaukee so I will always think of Milwaukee as the Beer capital of America. Congrats to Asheville but I dont think that we need to be bashing each other. So if you are ever in Milwaukee or need to know where to get some great beer hit me up and Ill show you where to go. And if Im in Asheville I'll do the same. I am a good beer lover and could care less where it comes from.

So cheers to all the beer lovers on here!!

h20, if you only new that i was a die hard high life fan and that i'm only stirring the pot a bit, and that this is not a pissing match at all. i'm just giving you wisonsin boys a tough time. i get it a lot too, hence "uncle daddy", "shaved legs", the "amish beard". i understand that tone doesn't come across well in a forum and i apologize if you or any other local fellas got some buttons pushed, that wasn't my intent. i quite like the milwaukee area and have a good friend that was once a rep for harley, so i have frequented the area, drank the local drops, and had a great time. rock bottom was one of my fav's and i love their brown ale. sorry bro, cheers!

No worries. I agree that its hard to joke on a forum and not have it come across in a bad light. High life is the only Miller product that I will buy as well. So no harm done and enjoy getting your amish beard into some suds!!
