Yes. Those were the twelve that the guy running Jared's foundation filmed/photographed and then passed along the images to Jared.
No. 13 was a 17 year old prostitute in NYC.
No. 14 is unclear, I think there is a typo in the government's charging document and I think is another 17 year old prostitute in NYC.
As bad as what Jared did is, the guy they busted two months ago was so much worse.

Whatever time he gets in prison is not enough. I realize there are sentencing laws in effect, but life in prison seems like a good sentence to me.
I guessing that since the divorce filing happened right after the plea she did not. I'm sure she waited to see what came of all this and what was found to be true. At least that is my hope. Being that she is a mother of 2, I doubt she would have stuck around and possibly subjected her kids to this man if she did know. Again, just guesses but I'm sure it wasn't hard to hide this from her.

Reminds me of that Dennis Raider btk killer guy. He killed a ton of people over like 20 years and never got caught. Had a wife, kids and was a leader of their church. No one had any idea at all until they caught him and the evidence came out. Just scary stuff when u think you know someone. The world can be nasty

If you ask me he got off way to easy.....up to 12 years, he admitted to at least 2 counts of sex with a minor, in New York those carry up to 20 years for the first offense and up to 30 years for the second....plus tack on all the child porn charges and he should die in prison.
Not to mention his deal puts him in Federal prison where things are much easier.

His plea allows him to serve his sentence in a Federal Prison where he will have his own "room" (most aren't cells)
He should be sent to a real prison and serve real time
I'm fairly certain the reason he agreed to the plea deal was to avoid hard time in real prison, not for a reduced sentence.
Today's CNN article is nuts
Its amazing how pervasive this is in society these days... i just read they raided Gene Simmon's house today (but none of the family are under suspicion) - not sure what that means..

From what I read, they believe someone stole their internet password and used their internet to download the porn. According to reports, Gene was on tour when the download happened so he is not a suspect at all.
Well, that's reassuring to hear. But to someone else's point about BTK, you just never know.. What a scary world. I miss the days when the internet didn't exist and all this kind of stuff wasn't so easily attainable...
I was just thinking the same thing, this story keeps getting worse and worse..

The older I get the more I believe the old saying ignorance is bliss. Being informed has it's advantages, but it also has major disadvantages. I miss the days when I lived in my happy little bubble, where my biggest concern was having a bad hair day.
I would add that the Internet has made it easier to catch these people. It was a lot easier to run and hide back when there was no digital trail.

)With two little girls I want to contract out private security and follow them everywhere bc reading crap like this scares and angers me at the same time.
I've had several conversations with my wife and let her know that if ANYTHING happens to our girls be prepared to be a single parent bc I'm going nuts and making sure the responsible party pays. (Which may or may not end up me requiring the services of Legal experts)
This is a fair point.... But you have to admit that people today seem so much more 'stupid', maybe brazen(sp?) about going about this... I watch those 'to catch a predator' things on tv and cannot believe how stupid these guys are... It seems so obvious. Same thing about Jared. His face is pretty recognizable, did you not think at some point somebody wouldn't come back and either turn you in or blackmail you? Same thing with former house speaker Dennis Hastert... I mean the guy probably didn't know he'd be that high profile 30 years down the road, but you can't run from what you did in the past.

Yeah, but think about how many of these predators use the internet now to find underage children with the use of social media. Before the internet, you couldn't just download kiddie porn, it was far less accessible.

Every other weekend for 2 years? That is the weirdest sentence I have ever heard. These is most definitely a double standard when it comes to female sex offenders and it's certainly not right.
That's like the adult version of being grounded. Weird.
