open stance?

For some reason when I use an open stance my swing and follow though feel more comfortable and I tend to get better results. Is this due to improper setup when I am trying to hit square and get straighter ball flight?
 
I've notice that when I set up, what I believe is square, I'm significantly closed. When I feel open, I'm actually square to my target - just hard to break the feeling.

you should put this in the ask the pro section. Andy's really good with this sort of thing.

I feel the same thing too when I open up my stance.

No, not on airsoft. That is one of my pics from 2005. I may have to try it in the ask the pro section.
