It's a natural consequence of sponsore dropping players and events. The golfers don't have to do anything--it's happening to them like it's happening to the rest of us. They just had a few more zeroes to begin with.

I think his idea that payouts ought to drop out of "sensitivity" is pretty silly. If it happens, it will be done out of necessity, then spun as if out of sensitivity.

I don't think anyone is going to need to do anything to make this happen. Expiring sponsorships will take care of this.
