Very rarely drink while playing but we will have a few beers waiting for all the cards to come back at the club bar!

The courses around here have signs that say in big, bold letters, "NO CARRY IN BEVERAGES" but I still sneak a can of soda in my bag.No matter what gets drinkened on the course, do the drinkers buy what they drink from the golf course or bring their own drinking materials? Water, beer, soda, flagons of mead, whatever the drink may be? Do you BYODs or buy them onsite?

I'm impressed!During a competitive round, usually none. During men's night, I'll can easily take down 4-8 over 18 holes. It is scary how little it affects my scores in general. I know it's proven to hurt a game but I'd play anyone with the same handicap as me even up while finishing a beer a hole. It's not uncommon for me to down a six-pack a side and keep it in the mid 70's.

Never take anything to the course. It's the best way I know to get ejected from the property. No coolers are allowed on my home course, or any other I know of, except the ones you can get with a sixpack in the bar in the clubhouse.
A lot of the course income is derived from the restaurant and bar concessions, even if it's just the franchise fee and the actual profits go to the operator. Nobody is going to pay for the rights to operate a concession if they can't sell anything. Then too, it takes a special liquor license here in Colorado, with an additional fee, for a golf course to be able to sell alcohol outside of the clubhouse, so bringing your own is no different than sneaking it into a bar. I don't know of any bartender who would smile and give you a hug if he caught you sneaking your booze in the door. :nono:
