Reminds me of the SpeedBlade. Were those designed while TO was still at TM?
He was with TM for that yes. He left at the end of 2013.

Has anyone other than cobra attempted a progressive set like this previously?

The closes I can think of in recent times is the Cleveland altitude/my/tt line, which you could combo up. But from what Jman says, these might flow considerably more smoothly.
Nike did something similar to the Cleveland stuff with their Speed irons last year. Heck they might as well have been called the Nike 588 irons. That being said, they did not got that small in the GW if I recall.
Having some camera issues (along with food poisoning) so thread will likely go up tomorrow. Hopefully I feel up to getting these out tomorrow as well.
Most complete progressive set design I've ever seen.
Also maybe the most complete iron design I've ever seen from cobra.
Not without a few personal issues, but, I was wow'd today.
THP will have a set in hand I do believe. This release certainly has me curious. I'm glad to see that your initial comments are extremely positive. Does THP have the Cobra Forged TEC irons in for review as well? I'd sure enjoy a little compare and contrast on these two sets. Cobra seems to be on a really impressive run with their new releases all across the board.
Glad I'm not nuts, seriously. I'm seeing some borderline absurd numbers, particularly in the mid to long irons.Got to try these last night and I can't believe the distance on these. Real solid feel but forgiving at the same time.

That said, they're pretty different beasts. The Forged Tec definitely have more of that players/game-enhancement range where these are GI all the way.
I'm trying to save thoughts on these until I get the pics uploaded for the the new thread, but I was seeing some silly numbers with these today.
is your review up yet?
Very cool! I love others seeing what I have, especially on a set just now getting into people's hands. Anyone who thinks these are a rehashed GI offering from cobra is way off base. There is insane amounts of thought and tech in this set, and it works.Had a fitting yesterday and hit about nine different 7-irons. I've never been a fan of cobra and didn't know anything about this new set but the specialist slipped the F6 in on me and I was instantly blown away. It was hands down the longest most forgiving club I hit all session. While we were dialing in the lie and shaft length I was consistently hitting it off the same spot - just off center on the heel - and the ball flight was incredible. Easily 10yds longer than when I flush my current 7. Needless to say I was sold and my new 4-PW set ships when they are released to the public next Friday. Didn't pull the trigger on the gap because I'm finicky with my wedges but as soon as the shop gets a demo in I'm heading back to give it some run. I haven't been this excited to play a new set of clubs ever.
I've actually decided today that even though the review is essentially complete for me (data/thoughts collection) I am going to plug one of the sets of the KBS Tour FLTD that are in for review into them to see how they react.Thinking of ordering a set of these in 4-PW with DG or DG pro in them. Forgiveness where I want it down low in the bag, some really nice mid irons, and then go to my wedges up top. Could be fun.

I think it's brilliant for them to offer honestly, it's a perfect shaft design for the nature of the irons. I think these are going to surprise a lot of people who try them, they feel way better than you think, they look way better than you think, and they perform way better than you'd ever expect.Oh, that's interesting. These seem like they'd go well with a flighted design.
It is pretty cool that the DG pros appear to be (at least when I specced them out on Cobra's side) a no-cost upgrade for these.
