    Tyent Water Bottles

THP received one of these and I have to say I am pretty impressed. The unit is very well made and you can feel the substance and it does a good job of keeping things hot and/or cold. I know many of our readers carry a water bottle or something like it to the course and this one is rather impressive.

    Product Info
A round of golf can last most of the day – and even if you speed around the links in a cart, you can be left feeling a bit dehydrated at the end of the day. Now you can have extended hydration at your fingertips with Tyent (www.TyentUSA.com). Specifically designed to make sure you have the most-mineral rich water to keep you hydrated during your most intense round, the Tyent lines of water bottles are also eco-friendly.

For the eco-conscious golfer, Tyent offers the Goodlife stainless steel water bottle line, which are made of 18/304 stainless steel and 100% BPA free plastic to ensure they contain no leaching toxins. The bottles feature a dual wall design and vacuum seal cap that allow liquids stored in the bottle to remain hot or cold for up to 24 hours, making sure you are never left thirsty. Durable, lightweight, reusable and recyclable, the Goodlife is available from $23.95.

Yeah, it does sound insane. I tested it out last night and put ice cold water in it at about 9pm and this morning (while not 24 hours) it is still cold. What gets me is its big and sturdy. I know some like the plastic ones because they are easy to throw in a golf bag, but I have always preferred something with some heft. This one has it.

Sounds like a solid investment. I have one of the tall Tervis water bottles that is about the same price and size but it definitely does not keep the liquid cold/warm for anything close to 24 hours. That is impressive, need to remember this next time I am on the hunt for a replacement.

What size did you get JB? I see they have 500ml, 700ml, and 1 liter. Not sure which one I want. Is the 500ml big enough for a full round of golf or 9 holes?

I would need the 1L one. Staying cold for that long is impressive!

That's pretty good indeed. If you regularly buy drinks at the course, switching to this could get you colder hydration and basically pay for itself over the period of a couple of weeks.

It is pretty sturdy. I don't know how thick, but I can tell you its thicker than my little "bullet" shaped stainless thermos thingy I use for coffee on the Tour Van.

I think a 24 hour hot/cold test is in order just for fun. Staying cold overnight is plenty long for just about everyone, but I'd like to see the 24 hour claim proven or disproven.
