That's pretty cool to do. What places usually have simulators for actual courses? And will allow you to play a round

... just do a google search for golf simulators in your area. Played TPC Scottsdale last night - was much better than anticipated. Distances and trajectory was spot on. when I toed an iron or hooked a drive, it recognized it. Agree with 12 ft gimme putts - keeps the game moving along. Gives an appreciation for how good the pro's are to hit those unbelievably tight fairways (I think I managed to hit 3).

I'll definitely do it again ... curious if anyone can recommend some courses that they have had good luck with & are fun to play on the simulator (dont think I would play TPC Scottsdale again - those ultra tight fairways were beyond my skill level) ?

... you can talk to a fade, but a hook won't listen

Do you know what kind of sim it is?

Here are some courses I've played.

Old Course at St Andrews - Pretty wide open, but the greens are ridulous.
    Harbour Town - tight fairways
Pine Needles - Very fun course. Fairly open and elevation changes
Ocean Course at Kiawah - Very fun course as well. Some very little greens.
TPC Sawgrass - it's ok. Probably bored by it since I played in TW golf so many times.
Donald Ross Memorial - parts of it are tight. Lots of elevated greens. Fun course.
Tuscany Reserve - pretty typical SW Florida course. Venetian - Short Florida course. Fairly open.

Ok I will do that. Thank you very much bud. I appreciate it very much. I bet it must've been tough playing Scottsdale. Glad you had fun though
