Watched most of it and agree. He was flying around. Others were just kind of meh. It's a game they should have won 4-0 but didn't leave any warm fuzzies in the tummy today. Long way to go for that.

Pulisic showed his talents early and is a class above anyone on this roster. He’s so explosive and creative with the ball.

Last night was a scrimmage, lets be honest. This tournament doesn’t start until we play, Mexico, CR, or Canada.

I’m still not feeling Bradley in the middle. He looks anxious and his passes/decisions are not sharp. He’s a liability right now and will get exposed by more athletic teams.

I'll be honest, Bradley should have retired after the failed attemped at qualifying for the WC. But then again, Dempsey would probably look like the 2nd coming of Pele playing on this team right now. I'm still convinced that Zardes is the crapiest player ever to wear the red/white/blue jersey. He has got zero skill out there.

Pulisic is probably the best player in the entire tournament. I didn’t think he had a great game, but he hasn’t played much. I completely agree that Bradley is not very good in the middle and will be exposed, but I don’t know that we have a better option?

The fact that Altidore and Bradley might be our best options at those positions says a lot about the state of our current program. If that is the best we have at those positions, it shows why we aren’t playing in Russia. But we have some younger kids developing that hopefully will help us in the next World Cup. I still think that they need to make it to the final for this Gold Cup to be considered a success but I am not sure it will happen. I will definitely try to watch every game and root them on!

Last night was fun in our house. How often can one say they have two soccer games of their home teams on tv at the same time?! We had one channel showing USA and the other broadcast on Phoenix Rising :)

Zardes and Altidore should not be on this team. One is lost out there and the other is an injury liability.

I would have liked to se Sergent get some time with this squad.

I recorded it and watched last night and these were exactly my thoughts. I thought both Bradley and Zardes were exceptionally disappointing and my expectations were about as low as they could get going in.

I watched from the 30th minute on and honestly I came away from that game thinking we are going to get destroyed by Mexico/Costa Rica and will have to play much better to not get beat by Canada.

Pulisic is talented, but besides Boyd, McKennie and Arriolla (Sp?) I didn't see anything that impressed me against what was a vastly outmatched Guyana. Mckennie getting hurt late, Altidore likely not being healthy does not give me warm fuzzies especially when the way the US broke the game open was by going completely against Burhalter's approach.

Bradley was never the most athletic player in the middle and looks to have lost a step or 2 since the last time I saw him and Zardes reminds me of Altidore in all the wrong ways, big, athletic, fast but no control in the box. He comes away with a goal but only because he was in the right/wrong place at the right time and probably got concussed for it.

I hope I am just being negative nancy but that was the worst I have felt coming off a 4-0 win.

I think the only interest I would have in the men's team right now is if they played the women's team straight up. It's typical American style soccer, try and beat 'em with athletic skill instead of ball handling skill. I keep hearing that it's changinig in the junior ranks but it has been a slow burn getting to those players so far.

Bradley looks slow and plays slower. He is constantly looking for the back sideways pass instead of taking a risk to make something happen. He did have a few good balls last night, but mostly just slowed the game down and killed any tempo we had going. Zardes looks lost.

Good thing is we have some good young talent in Weah and Sargeant that hopefully continue to progress. Still a long way to go, but I still have a little hope for the future.

That was a better half than they have played in a while and a nice finish by Long. We have another night of two televised games we care about! Phoenix Rising is about to kickoff and I have one of my father’s day gifts on (the team is 11-0 on dollar beer night)

Ok I have no idea what this team is about, but let’s bottle up this performance and have it as the blueprint on how to love the ball and play as a unit.
