Not sure how many people in THP are futbol / soccer fans. Thought I'd throw this thread out there for some friendly banter about this tourney!

I can't wait for this tourney to start. Got my favorite but interested to see how the games play out

Yes I agree! Hoping some of the games are near Ohio so I can catch one or two

You haven't checked the locations?

Here you go.

CenturyLink Field – Seattle, Wash.
Citrus Bowl – Orlando, Fla.
Gillette Stadium – Foxborough, Mass
Levi's Stadium – Santa Clara, Calif.
Lincoln Financial Field – Philadelphia, Pa.
MetLife Stadium – East Rutherford, N.J.
NRG Stadium – Houston, Texas
Rose Bowl – Pasadena, Calif.
Soldier Field – Chicago, Ill.
University of Phoenix Stadium – Glendale, Ariz.

Crap. Not sure how I missed the locations....

And more crap because none are anywhere near me in Ohio. Haha. Closest is Chicago and Philadelphia. Both 6 hours or more away

So what does everyone think of the pods?

Groups look pretty good, other than Group B with Brazil being the top dawg there. Otherwise though, I think the other three groups will make for some interesting matches... It's a shame only 3 total matches are being played in Glendale, AZ. Either way, can't wait for the start!!!

Single game tickets went on sale today. I got tickets for the Argentina Panama game in June. A friend and I are going to make this a weekend golf trip as well.

Holy s*** what a goal by Venezuela there.

Also...can't believe how bad Brazil looked last night

I figured there was a thread for this tournament already.

I missed the goal

I was about to call you out in the US thread. Good thing I found it.

And this game really picked up after the Venezuela goal.

Haha nice. At least these teams are actually playing hard which is nice to see but lots or changes to line ups on both sides.

Well both are already through. So they are really just playing to avoid Argentina, which Mexico would do with a draw. I think Venezuela shocked them and now they are kinda like "wtf".

Oh...and a game in Houston with Mex? #HomeGame

Wow just saw the goal. The free kick was awesome

Ref gave a yellow card like 3 minutes in, and everyone started flopping hard for the next 10. Ref wasn't having any of it. Haha. He's actually called a very good game so far.

Nine changes for Mexico if I heard correctly? Pretty much anywhere in the US is a home game for Mexico these days.

Agreed no nonsense not like that clown from Saturday night.

Good game so far. Definitely going to be an interesting second half

Mexico should have scored there

1-1...business has picked up! Chicharito needs to change his name to luchador after that corner kick nonsense.
