I was almost set on buying the Cobra AMP 3 and 4 hybrids until I hit the new AMP Cell hybrids from this year. Man are those things smooth, now that it's tax time, it's time for me to fill out my bag with a couple of hybrids. Looking for some feedback from you guys as to what in your opinions are the top new hybrids, the only ones I've got a chance to hit so far are the AMP's from last year and this year's AMP Cell but this is what has me intrigued:

Cobra AMP- Felt like a pretty solid club, no numbers, just from what little I got to see in the hitting bay at Dick's but they seemed to get the ball up in the air pretty quick and hard to beat for the price they're at now.

Cobra AMP Cell- Super smooth and seemed to launch pretty high. Also love all the versatility you can get out of these with the adjustibility that comes with the myFly technology and love the look of the orange ones.

Nike Covert Hybrid- I haven't had a chance to hit these yet but the driver seems to be getting some pretty good reviews and everyone seems very happy with them thus far. I'm actually really excited to hit these, but it's gonna be hard for them to beat the Cobra's.

Callaway X Hot Hybrid- I've never really been drawn to a Callaway club before but these seem to be getting alot of hype and I'll definitely give them a go before I make any decisions.

I really like the look of the new Adams hybrids, but my lord are they expensive and I just don't know if I feel like laying down that much money for them. If I've left anything out or you guys have anything I should check out from previous years please let me know! Looking forward to hearing some feedback.

X Hot hybrids are amazing IMO. They are very easy to hit and it seems like the whole face is a sweet spot. I gained 5 -7 yards with the 3 hybrid vs last year's RBZ on the launch monitor. I probably should have tested more new model but this one felt just right.

Hope which ever hybrid you choose is awesome for you. I would love to try the X-Hot. I'm putting together a 910H right now.

Since you asked about previous year stuff, I would highly recommend last year's (2012) Cobra Baffler T-Rail hybrids. I have a 3H and that thing is AMAZING! I have Cleveland Mashie 4H and 5H and I've been contemplating replacing them with the Bafflers since they've gone down to $99 and cheaper now, even though there is nothing wrong with the Mashies at all. Just love the feel of a good solid strike on the Cobra hybrids.

Don't overlook the RBZ stage 2. I took five swings with it and absolutely loved. Its smooth, sounds nice and has a nice sweet spot. I was hitting balls on the toe and still getting 220-225 out of the club.

X-Hot hybrids are the best I've hit so far. The face is made of unicorn bone I believe

You got me laughing. Hey, but if it's true I def want one. There would have to be magic in it.

From my point of view it would be the AMP Cell, they rock!!!

I second last year's Baffler T-Rail. After trying every hybrid except TM's last year I tried the T-Rail as an afterthought and it flat blew me away. I'm filling my bag with them.

After watching my cart-mate hammer his new Adams Super LS, that would HAVE to be in the top 3. But, it carries a $299 price tag!

S is just as good in my humble opinion, little shorter, but much easier to hit and more consistant.

Glad to see the positive reviews about the Baffler. Just bought the 3h today at Dicks Sporting Goods for $85 after a coupon.

X hot or adams ls get my vote. Both super easy to hit and the adams is long.

I agree! And I think I have before, on this point. :). I may just end up with the S after demo day....

The Covert hybrids look awkward to me. They didn't feel like they set up very well for me either

Cobra AMP

Cobra AMPCell

Nike Covert Hybrid

Callaway X Hot Hybrid

I think hybrids are almost a "matter of personal taste" as much as putters are.

You should try everything! Adams is probably the category leader and specialist in the hybrid arena. Other than that, I think there are several models you will like, some you will hate and some that you won't be able to live without. I think the biggest determinant (for me) is offset. I don't like huge offsets, so that narrows the category really quickly. Take your time and see what characteristics are most important to you.

Recommendations:

Adams S
Bridgestone J40
Callaway X Hot Pro
Ping i20
Ping Anser
Cleveland Classic
Titleist 913

I would also look closely stock from the last couple of years. Here in he UK the TM Rescue 11 can be had for less than £90! It's got all the adjustability you need in a rescue and travels a country mile when struck sweetly.

I'm in exactly the same boat I'm not a massive fan of hybrids but when I see some of my playing partners hitting then longgggg and landing them soft I just can't ignore them.

I'm going a bit adams mad at the minute so have been checking out the super xtd and S but they still carry a big price tag of £150 in the UK even used they are expensive

I am enjoying the RBZ stage 2 at the moment. It is only in the bag as changing my irons forced me to look at my gaps. I previously gamed the Callaway RAZR hybrids, and they were my goto clubs, really easy to hit from any lie, and the price gets lower and lower each day....

Tour Edge makes a great hybrid. Whether it's the XCG line with more forgiveness or the "players" oriented CB line, they offer some very solid hybrid options.

I gotta second this I just added a XCG5 4 hybrid to the bag.

Tried a bunch at PGA Superstore. I always had bad results with Adams Hybrid but with this year's Super S, I was hitting it long and high. Thought it was going to be too big but results is what mattered to me. I even went online to get the free hat!
