I will take the Putting Machine as a partner for the other 18 Holes.
Does Team Michigan or Team Ohio have one on staff?
How about a Top 2 putter list? I will get the ball rolling. Pun intended.

Please keep in mind I haven't seen a putting stroke from Team Ohio.
So this is complete nonsense. My specialty. Along with low draw and fades.

1. mikedean441 - Captain - Chutts it to 5'- 2 putt specialist

2. Gunner - Technically not a putter.. Simply drives the ball from the tee (par 4/5 only) directly into the hole. Never actually touching the putting surface.

I'm a short hitter for sure but I'll do my best to keep the ball in the short stuff.
As for specialty shots .... I've been told by many playing partners just how "special" some of my shots are.

Michigan

1. CJ- I'm pretty sure I've watched drain a 50+ footer for birdie at Forest Akers (MSU course)

2. Musicmaster- I've never shared a round with him, but I've heard is short game is pretty good.

Ohio

1. PhillyV- I haven't played any golf with him recently, but I'm sure MrsV has been giving him putting tips in prep for this, so he'll be ready.

2. Canadan- another person I haven't shared a round with, but if I remember correctly he shot a round in the 60s at a THP gathering.

Give me a person who has a good 200 and in game and my pairing could be pretty successful.

I would want someone who can get off the tee pretty well. From what I remember seeing, I would take Gunner, Canadan, jspangs, stribs, phillyv - all longer than me and in the fairway more than me, from what I remember anyway.

I can handle iron/short game/putting

I hope we see alot more guys at the meet and greet etc that have posted so far. I seem to recall just about everyone saying they were coming back before teams were picked

It would be nice to be paired with someone who could consistently find the fairway. Or just consistent in general. Last year I tended to go on hot and cold streaks.

Friday I was planning on taking the day off of work to get down there to have the day to practice and get prepared, heck maybe even get in a last minute practice round.

On another note,for Saturday do we have the course to ourselves for a certain period of time.

no, the course remains open to the public, we just have 2 blocks of tee times in morning and PM

I believe there is a meet and greet Friday night? As far as a round....not sure yet.

I'm sure another thread will be started soon for the extracurricular of the weekend, once that happens I get everything on lock down. As of right now I plan on taking Friday off work and heading over first thing in the morning, finding a good deal and playing golf with whoever wants.

I need to look into booking a tee time right after the first wave in the morning gets out. That'd be fun to follow the last group

I'm sure more will post before too long. Wound/hurt might still be a little fresh for some, so not checking the thread yet etc. Who knows.
