The 59 Watch Thread

Hopefully this locks Furyk in for the hall of fame. He's always been a classy player.
 
I played yesterday afternoon and had a pretty good round. Shot 77. Then I got home and saw the report on Furyk's round on Sports Center and thought: "Wow, I played well, and Jim Furyk still beat me by 18 strokes!!"

He also beat the number 3 golfer in the world by 18 strokes so don't feel bad. :)

I was talking just on the PGA Tour. It could happen on the Web.com tour.
 
Peter Uihlein needs eagle on his final hole at Kingsbarns to shoot 59, which would be the European Tour's first 59. He's playing the 9th hole as his final hole of the day, which is a reachable par 5.

EDIT: Massive drive into the fairway on that hole, should have a go at the green in 2.

223 to the pin and hits it 35 feet away. Has a putt at it.
 
319 yard drive, had 223 to the pin, hit an iron to about 30-35 feet away from the hole. Putt for 59 coming up....
 
Ulheim's amateur partner slow playing him, that's brutal.

Misses the putt by 2 inches to the left. Taps-in for birdie and a round of 60.
