A quick nine for this morning.

Starting on the 1st tee... a 186 yard par 3 playing to 160.

7 iron a little long and left. Chip to about 10 feet. Pulled the par putt and tapped in for bogey.

Short par 5... 448 yards with a severe dogleg to the right.

4 iron deep and into the rough... 8 iron into position up the right side... wedge to 16 feet. Birdie putt caught the lip... sank the 4 footer coming back for par.

Trouble off the tee... then a few 4 irons hooked OB from a tough stance.

On to the 4th.

4th hole... 376 yard par 4.

Hybrid to the fairway. Ugly 6 iron. Great recovery to the fringe. Putt from there rolled 1 foot underneath the cup. Tapped in for bogey.

Just went par - bogey on the 310 and 312 yard par 4 5th and 6th holes.

Played the 5th almost perfectly. My birdie attempt from 17 feet stopped on the lip.

My tee shot on the 6th found the fairway trap. Wedge from there spun off the right side of the green and I hit a poor chip.

Now on the 7th tee. 195 yard par 3... downhill over an inlet.

Hit my 5 iron about 25 yards deep. Got up and down from there with a pitch to about 10 feet and a putt that dove in at the last second.

I finished up with...

Par on 8. I hit a 8 iron pin high and it spun back to the front of the green. 2 putts from 25 feet for the par.

Bogey on 9. A good drive, drawing around the trees into the fairway. A good layup with my 5 iron and then a heavy sand wedge to the green. An ugly three-putt from 43 feet for the bogey.

Overall... I posted a 47. With max score on the 3rd hole... it's a 43.

3 of 6 fairways. 4 of 9 greens in regulation. 18 total putts.

Way better than I've been playing... that's for sure!
