My little guys toughest moments were from birth- 6 months old. He went though so much I was there countless nights with no sleep or very little. One step I recommend is be there no matter what, be able for changes at any minute. By that I mean mood swings about the 3 years of age, they are tempermental then, mine is going through that stage now. Even a small fall he wants a band-aid ect. He knows he is growning up fast, they want to attention of when they were smaller expecially if they have siblings that are younger. I tell my son I cannot carry him as much anymore and he is a big boy , they tend to want that closeness of when they are smaller. Still give them that but reinforce they can do many things themself and encourage them every step of the way. I never had a father so all this teaching is all new to me. Seems to be working but nothing is set is stone

You will know as soon as the little one arrives. If you dont, you'll figure it out and you'll enjoy every minute
