Right? If I'm shipping something loose like that I'm not going to let it bang around inside the box during shipment. Seems like an obvious call to secure it to the box.

After closer inspection, it also looks like the putter face is damaged. I think this was damaged pre-shipment, as the head cover was on. You can't really tell from the listing photos unless you know the damage is there are look really hard. I wonder how much I should worry about this? This experience has kinda soured me on buying clubs on ebay.

That totally sucks. I had the same happen to a putter I sold a couple weeks ago. The putter was DEMOLISHED, shaft snapped from the head and the head had a huge scuff on the back plus the putter cover looked like a dog got to it. Such a bad deal.

I woke up this morning and I couldn’t lift my right arm without excruciating pain. I must have “slept wrong”. Anyway, if I am still in pain by Thursday I’ll have to bail on my Saturday morning tee time.

Have you considered contacting Ping to see if they would rectify an equipment failure? The major manufacturers are usually pretty good on these issues.

Probably get the Authorized Dealer run-around.

I'd do an eBay return, the delamination does show up in the 2nd seller picture but is not obvious in any way

Sadly, I don’t think Ping is going to be any help since you bought it on eBay... Worth a try, though.

I don't think it's even worth attempting with Ping. And I just noticed that the seller does not accept returns. I'm still going to contact them and might end up leaving negative feedback if they won't accept a return.

I'd give them a chance to make it right.

Did you pay with credit card? If so, of they don't accept it back or make it right, then dispute the charge based on them sending you faulty product.

I'm definitely going to give them a chance to right it. That said, eBay has a money back guarantee regardless of the sellers terms so they will hopefully take care of me.
