Callaway Apex CF 16 Irons Review Thread

Does anyone else love the AW as much as I do?
It was a good crutch on day 2 when I wasn't striking the ball very well. I found myself leaning on it from 80-120 yards... it was very versatile and will definitely be a go to in the future

I've narrowed down the selection of the shafts between the PX steel 6.0 or Tour V stiff, for when this eventually happens.

I ended up getting fit into the PX 6.0 rifles and was absolutely loving them.

I hope you make an explosion sound after every swing.

Doesn't everyone do this?

I tend to swear but some could confuse that for explosion sounds

I yelled with excitement a few times at ecpc. Have to admit it

The day is finally here.

I have these ready to go to the course after work. May be 40* out, but I simply don't care!

I'm so happy/eager right now. Especially since it'll be my first session/outing with the PXi in them since I was fit to them. Yeeeeeesssssssssssssssss!

Is the biggest/only difference between the PXi and the PX the weight? The PXi 6.0 being 112g is very intriguing to me. The PX 6.0 is one of my favorite feeling shafts, but I LOVE shafts in the 110g range. So these would be right up my alley if that's the case.

The PXi might be the best looking iron shafts out there. Enjoy the round.

Yeah, lighter weight, and for me not quite as flat of a trajectory. Plus, much improved (but still lagging behind KBS in a large way) feel.

Stop it JMan, Just Stop it! Mine are probably still two weeks away from arriving, and I'm sure it'll be 20 degrees here by then. But I'll live vicariously though you and the other Grandaddy Porn promoters until then :D

PXi doesn't feel like you have rebar under the grip of the club as opposed to PX. At least that's my perspective on it.

I'm so jealous of the PXi setup with the Apex CF.

Hahahaha, I agree entirely on that synopsis, I was trying to tread lighter on wording, but that nails it. Major difference in feel IMO, the OG PX are why I have traditionally distanced myself from PX iron shafts, these though....SO MUCH YES!

I love the OG PX. Maybe I'm weird. Haha

couldn't agree more with both of you. Still blame PX for the pain in my right arm after playing them for 6 months.

It must be the steel worker in me because I like my PX 6.0

I think my arms still hurt after swinging WCBM's PX 6.5s once or twice a couple months ago.

Your good above average temps here at least until the end of the year.

I did hear on the news this week, that the current weather trend warmer than normal, will continue into the forst week or two of January

We're at it every Sunday 7:45 unless there's frost. This Sunday probably but I love the CF16 so much I'll be there until the snow comes.

I hear you. One of the nice advantages I have is our driving range about 75 yards from my office, so I can go out for as long as the temps allow pretty often.
