I've been playing golf practically since I could walk but I never have had formal lessons and have always just dealt with my fade/slice. I plan on taking lessons soon but what tips would you guys give me with my current swing to make it more consistent and straight or draw the ball.

Here is my swing

Let's start with the good, the hands are high in the back swing. And you extend thru the ball well.

Now you have a huge slide on the back swing. Your left knee is moving behind the ball, which had completely pulled you out of position. This is also making your swing longer than we want it.

A good drill to stop the slide and create a solid turn is to push your knees out at address. So you set up to the ball with good knee flex. A typical setup had the knees pointed at the ball. I want your feet square and for you push your knees out a few degrees. It's almost a squat but not quite.

Now you turn your upper body against this base. The tendency will be to string ten the knees to get a deep turn. But we are looking for deep just complete. Take your driver across the shoulders behind your neck. With some waist bend I want you to turn the shoulders 90* and try to get the left shoulder behind the ball. Hold this position for a 10 count and back to square. Do this 5 to 10 times. After this, make some real swings. Look for the feeling you felt when doing the drill.

Thank you. I will try that and see what happens. Will update with new video after I go to the range next time.
