    Glove too big?

So I have noticed that all of my gloves wear in the lower palm:

So I went in to my local golf shop and showed him the issue. Without hesitation he said " Glove is too loose"! Never thought that was the issue. He had me put it on and showed me by pulling on the palm all the stretch in the glove. He had me go down a size and said that was perfect. Tried it today and it seemed ok. Think I will need a couple of rounds to see if that was the issue.

I have the same issue in exactly the same spot on the glove. I was told that my grip was not tight enough with the ring and little fingers of the left hand. I choke up 3/4" so the butt end of the grip/club is not resting on the glove.

Looking forward to replies to this issue.

I had a similar issue a few years back and moved to a smaller glove. I found that with a smaller glove I actually got a better grip and without the loose palm to wrinkle up and wear out, the glove lasted longer.

I wear gloves in that spot too but I grip the club down at the end and the 'knob' of my grip rests there.

The local golf store I frequent has a pretty simple glove measuring display. When looking at it one time it measured to the glove I currently buy and it's always a bit snug but breaks in very nicely after a few holes.

The glove does look a little big, but I'm not sure if that's the reason for the wearing pattern. I buy very tight gloves so that they stretch to be like a second skin and also get wear in the same area.

I wear large gloves for winter, mechanical/yard work, etc. I used to wear a large golf glove. Then I read an article like this one:

    https://www.footjoy.com/fitting-men-gloves.html

I went to the store to try various models and in the Callaway glove I currently wear, I am a small. It seems tight at first but is fine within five minutes. It has made a difference, and I don't retire the glove due to holes; I retire it because the the Velcro adjustment has maxed out.

I number of glove retailers have similar articles.

The last set of gloves I bought were the dawn patrols and they were so tight the first time that it was not super comfortable for me. I had to take them off after every shot. However I had much better results then other gloves that were to big. That was eye opening for me.

Not sure about the wear, but that glove is way too big.

I always buy medium leather gloves, at work I use large. Why? Because as I sweat, the glove gets loose and the large is way too big. The medium although tight just fits better during play
