Finally completed my bag. I don't see any further changes in the foreseeable future now that I am happy with every slot. The theme of my bag is now definitely forgiveness.

Callaway XR 16 set at 12.5 degrees neutral with a stiff speeder evolution 565 shaft -
This driver has transformed my game off the tee. Sounds and feels great and is so easy to launch.

Callaway V Series Heavenwood with stiff Basara e25 shaft -
Everyone here knows about these. The hype is real. As someone that can't use a fairway off the deck, I can hit this nice and high and is good for around 200 - 210 yards.
Titleist 816H1 23 degree hybrid with stiff Diamana blue s70 shaft -
My new favourite club in the bag. So easy to hit. Frames the ball nicely at address, feels great and gets the ball up easily. I've struggled to fill my hybrid slot, so am over the moon to finally find a hybrid I have a load of confidence in.

Titleist AP1 716 5-pw with Kuro Kage tini 65g graphite shafts -
These clubs took me a while to get used to, I think because of the lighter graphite shafts. They are now performing for me. I swapped this out with my old AP2's after my last fitting. The graphite helps my old aching joints, and I love the extra forgiveness and help getting the ball to launch (you see the theme of clubs helping with launch. With a 93mph driver speed, and little hand action, I'm all for help getting the ball in the air as much as possible).

Cleveland 588 Rotex 2.0 48, 52 and 56 2 dot wedges with stock steel shafts -
48 degree is the cavity back to give a little help on full shots. All 3 wedges have steel shafts as I still think they offer more feel, especially on half shots and little flops and chips. These clubs are great for my sweeping style of playing with wedges.

Won this on Facebook in one of their giveaways. It's not a work of art like some putters out there, but what it is, is a tool that flat out works for me. I have 1 screw in each side meaning this plays at 348g's.

Ha ha. Wanted to wait until the bag was set. I'm now happy with my setup which means I have to cut you out of my golfing life. You're a bad influence LOL.

Please, you were playing clubs as old as The Queen! I did you a favor :D

Very nice setup. Thanks for sharing! Great write up's and pic's as well!

Bag looks great and a nice write up.

Very nice - I like "forgiveness themed" bags. Good stuff.

Great looking setup! Really like that Cleveland CB wedge. Have always loved the looks of them.

Great looking bag Mark. It has come a long way with a bit of "encouragement" from mr.hicksta.

I noted the "I'm content with my bag" comment. I give you 3 months...:alien:

The Heavenwood is such a fun club. Good looking setup.

Those AP1's are sweet Mark. Love the Union Jack head cover, too!

Ha ha, nope, no changes. Well, OK, I may look at changing to heavier graphite shafts in the irons. Other than that though, nope.

You can be assured that any changes that do take place will be blamed on me, haha!

It just so happens that I know a guy

So when I said no more changes, I of course lied LOL.
My 65g Kuro Kage shafts were just way too light. Golf Mart in Seaside once again looked after me, so rather than paying over $400 for new shafts, I end up with brand new AP1's with new Steelfiber i95's in stiff for $135.

After reading stuff here and elsewhere online, I was a little concerned the stiff wouldn't be suitable for me. After talking to the shaft guru down at golf mart and hitting some shots in the sim, I was assured I would be fine. Having now hit my new clubs, I don't find these shafts overly stiff or boardy. They feel no more stiff than any other stiff shaft out there. They do however feel freaking awesome. Great weight, great feedback, and still get a nice high launch. Now, I'm definitely done with my bag! Probably.

Nice addition man! I have the i95 stiff in my irons as well, and they are fantastic.

Bag update.
Decided I didn't like the AP1's. Also decided I don't like graphite shafts in my irons. So bye bye Ap1's, hello Callaway Apex CF16's with steel XP95's. Also the cure has left the bag in favour of my Seemore Si4

Nice bag my man! Wish you were coming up for the Labor Day! I too switched out my AP1 716's this year. I like the AP's but I like the Mizunos better. Looks like there may be a couple of sets of AP1's in the marketplace soon!

Hit Em straight and have fun my brother!

I don't know if it was the heads or the shafts, but they just felt a little dead to me. Yeah, would have loved to tee it up with you guys again over Labor Day, but gotta save for Pebble.

Looks good man!

Bag has changed somewhat, so I may as well update this thread...
First off, no more club specific bag. My OCD can’t handle bag and gear not matching.

As much as new stuff is cool, I tend to find gear I like (especially irons) and stick with it. I’m hoping this bag won’t change for a while, although I might have to look at the top of the bag. I think I might need something between the AW and SW. might go 54 58.

Bag has changed a little, so thought I’d update this.
P790s are still place and will be going nowhere soon. Odyssey putter is still in place. 54 and 58 Vokeys have been added. My old V series heavenwood has finally been knocked out by the epic flash hw. XR16 so that served me so well has been replaced by the Ping G410 which is working great for me. I was so impressed with the Ping that I also stuck the hybrid in there too.

Nice setup!
