Reading this / which I find interesting. Notice a wide assortment of cappers here

here is a question ? I notice some high cappers mentioning tapered shafts / and different preferred lofts ..etc. Will some of these clubs requested really help? What will these clubs do for you / than say an off the rack set!

They all help, because with the exception of 12 guys right now....it's all a dream. No analysis needed...dream big.

i made my clubs a few degrees flat . I'm 6ft 2 have super super long muscular arms. The flatter lie makes me feel extended at address. Plus I made them a little heavier since the off the shelf clubs feel so light. I can't say if this benefited me at all, but it feels good

what does tapering do? And why alter different shaft flexes for different clubs in the bag? Is it preferable to have the same shaft flex and weight for the whole set?

Im not a club fitter , and the closest one is an hour away. And basically he just sells clubs off the rack , so my area for golf in general is less then stellar. This isn't a golf Mecca of any kind

Perhaps a better place for your questions is within Club Fitting sub-forum. Might be a good idea to start a thread there so the info is easily searchable by others in the future.

I already have it. I guess I would need to add a putter. Kind of like the Tank Cruiser #1. Maybe I'd switch out the XR 3 wood for the Alpa 816.
 
Driver: GBB 10.5 with Red Tie or something equivalent, Im very limited in shaft experience.
FW: GBB 3 and H-wood with similar shaft as driver.
Hybrid: Apex 24°, or the closest to 24 offered with a heavy regular flex shaft.
Irons: Apex cf16 4-P with KBS Tour 90.
Wedge: MD3 52, 56, 60. With KBS Tour 90.
Putter: Works 1W tank in 35 inch.
