For sale is a set of eight, 3i-pw, Aerotech Steelfiber 110i CW. They played to standard length in my apex pros. They are taper tip size .355 and can be butt trimmed if you want to shorten them. The grips are iomic but should probably be replaced. The pull lengths are the following.

3i 38"
4i 37.5"
5i 37"
6i 36.5"
7i 36"
8i 35.5"
9i 35"
Pw 34.75"

Asking $160 shipped Conus.

This was my first pull of graphite shafts. There was some questions about the integrity of the tips. It looks like the steel wire came off during the pull. Is this common with the steelfibers? Tips all measure more than .350. I would think the epoxy would easily fill the space and it shouldn't really effect the playability.

Any experienced users, your input would be appreciated.

Two questions I would ask are:

Did you use a shaft puller?
What was your heat source?

The first because any twisting of the head can damage the tips. The second because excessive heat can as well.

IMO they don't look bad for a first pull, but I may have been a little less ambitious ;)

ETA: 0.003 is less than the thickness of a sheet of paper and probably within production tolerance.

I did use a puller, so no twisting. I used a heat gun on the first 2 and it took along time for the epoxy to break loose, so I used a torch on the others. I was careful to not over heat the shaft. I would run the flame up and down the hosel a few times and then try the puller. If that didn't work a little more heat was applied.

Does anyone have SF's that have been pulled, do they look similar?

They look ok from the pics but it can be tough to tell sometimes. I and my sore joints are interested. Can you clean up a couple of the tips and get a pic?

Here's a close up pic of the tip. All are similar.
