Piretti Putters
Nice man! I absolutely adore my Cottonwood II. Improved my putting almost immediately, the feel, quality of roll, and speed control are fantastic.
How does it compare to a Scotty Newport 2? I like my Scotty but the Piretti's have caught my eye. Great looking putters but being a lefty in Canada they are very hard to come by.
You know, it's been quite a while since I hit a Newport 2, but my recollection is that the Newport 2 has a narrower flange and sounds a little denser. The CWII is wider and therefore is a little more forgiving, and has the slightest "ping" at impact. I also believe the CWII is a touch heavier, which I like. Both are very soft and roll beautifully.
Personal preference really, both will serve you well.

Like Skibum said the Piretti has a similar overall shape but has a wider flange, heavier weight (than a standard Newport), and a different sound/feel altogether.

My Cottonwood 2 came in today. Of course it's raining so I won't be able to try it on an actual green until later in the week but I did roll it on the carpet a little bit. It is noticeably heavier than my Newport 2 and has a similar feel. I really like the look of it. I'm looking forward to being able to try it on an actual green.

I think I'm going to put a Super Stroke Slim 3.0 on it. That's what I have on my Newport and I really like it.

Looks awesome buddy!! Same finish as mine, but 10g heavier. SuperStroke sounds sweet. I have a Rosemark on mine and I love it.

I played my first round with my Cottonwood 2 yesterday. I liked the feel and look at address but I'm going to have to practice more with it before I put it in play again. My distance control was off but I haven't had the opportunity to practice with it so I wasn't expecting a lot. I did have 29 putts but I hit a few in tight so that helped keep my putts down.
