This is the lazy man's "research". Tapping into the collective knowledge of THP and everyone's opinions, if you had to choose just one golf club, what was the one club that stood head and shoulders above the rest for 2015? 2016? 2017 so far?

Apex CF16.

For me in 2015, it was the Wilson Staff C200's. I know they were officially released in 2016, but thanks to THP I got my hands on them in October of 2015.
For 2016, I'll go with Cobra F6 driver. The fairway wood is right behind it.
For 2017, I'm going to go with Wilson Staff Triton driver. Hoping to get my hands on one sooner or later. Though to be honest, I'm intrigued by the Cobra F7's entire wood line as well.

For me:

2015 - Callaway BB Alpha 815 hybrid or TM R15 hybrid (tie for me)
2016 - Apex CF 16 irons
2017 - RTX 3 wedges

2015 - Callaway MD3 Wedges
2016 - Tour Edge Exotics EX9 Lineup (specifically the hybrid)
2017 - Cobra F7+ Driver

2015 - Ping G30 drivers

2016 - Ben Hogan PTx irons

2017 - TBD (its only the 3rd week in January)

2015-SM5 58* K grind
2016- CF16
20117- Epic

I'll go for my game more than just the masses.

2015: Bridgestone J15 CB irons
2016: Cleveland RTX3 Wedges
2017: Callaway Epic Sub Zero Driver

Pending Release: Toulon Austin

Each one of those club, if gamed, would define rounds for me.

2015 - Srixon 545, 745, 945 iron line
2016 - Callaway Apex CF16
2017 - Callaway Epic and it's not remotely close

Mizuno wedges s5 were the only thing to last from start to finish 2016

2015: FG Tour V4 irons
2016: Ben Hogan PTx irons
2017: Toulon Putters (face milling mainly)

2015: 915 D3
2016: Scotty Cameron Newport Select
2017: Wilson Staff Triton

Could be mistaken on release dates. But my unbiased opinion is below. I say unbiased because I never actually gamed any of them but the world certainly went crazy for them

2015: Ping Ketsch Putters
2016: Callaway CF 16 Irons
2017: Callaway Epic Drivers

My Cobra BioCell 3/4 adjustable hybrid - awesome club, very forgiving on mishits, good on accuracy and lots of distance

2015: Srixon z745 irons 2016: Cleveland RTX 3 wedges. 2017: Callaway Epic driver

2015: srixon z *45 irons
2016: TM M1/2
2017: Callaway epic drivers

2015 - Ping G30 series drivers
2016 - Callaway Apex CF16 irons, followed closely by Srixon Z565 and W/S C200 irons.
2017 - TBD (I expect the W/S Triton, Callaway Epic GBB/SZ drivers, and maybe the Ping i200 irons to get a run from me, though. Also interested in the Cobra F7 fairway woods)

2015 Nike Vapor Pro irons. (Shouldn't have sold them)
2016 M1
2017 ?????

I'll have to think back on 15, but 16 I would go with the TM M1/2 drivers and for 17 I think it has to be the Epic.

For 2016 I'd have to go with Hogan PTX irons. They spent the most time in my bag out of any club.
2017: DBT

2015: Callaway PM Grind Wedge
2016: TaylorMade M1 Driver
2017: Way too soon for me to know, I've only hit a couple 2017 releases so far.

2017 GBB Epic Driver, best driver I have hit in 44 years of playing golf!
